Romantic Escape!

Actually I thought it was ridiculously inexpensive! Here's our story:

This was all a surprise to me.

We met our butler, Chris, for the evening in the lobby of the GF, near the piano. He took us up in the elevator to the 3rd floor Conciere and led us out to the balcony overlooking the courtyard. There was a table set up off to the right. There were flowers on the table and my favorite wine.

The balcony was a common area, but Chris said he doubted that anyone would come out while we dined. As far as I know, no one did. We were off to one side, so it is possible that people went to the left and we didn't notice. It was a hot summer day, but soon the sun set and it was a perfect night. Chris was excellent, he did not hover near us, yet was attentive.

We had dessert on the pontoon and watched Wishes. There was only one part that was not perfect the whole night, they forgot the hot water for my tea. There was coffee for DH, and all the tea fixens, but no water. It would have been nice, as I enjoy a cup of tea after dinner with dessert. But truly no big deal. We didn't even mention it to Chris.

Ok, here is the cost: $50 plus the cost of food, drink, flowers & Cruise. Of course the Flowers and Cruise were optional and they made all the arrangements for my DH.

My DH had set this up for Sept, prior to our family trip down in Aug. He snuck over to the GF and they staked out places for the meal. The beach was another option, but since they were worried about the heat - and it would not be as private. The GF suggested this location and my DH agreed.

It was the best gift to me ever, as it was truly a surprise since my DH has never planned anything like this before.
