Romantic dinner spot in Epcot resort (or Epcot)?

Any suggestions for a quiet dinner for two at one of the Epcot resorts? (I know this is Disney so there will be kids around - luckily they will belong to someone else!) My DH and I are going next spring for our first solo trip to WDW in over 17 years. Well, not completely solo: DS and DD will be performing with their school band, and staying somewhere else onsite. But they will want nothing to do with us, so we can plan for some quality time together. We will be staying at BWV so the Epcot resort area or Epcot would be my first choice of location.

if you don't mind dressing up slightly, i've heard great things about Bistro De Paris in epcot in france.

I'll second the Bistro de Paris, which is over Chef de France

Most of the other restaurants in Epcot are larger and more crowded.

Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club.
A bit pricey, but worth it IMO.

I also vote for Yachtsman Steakhouse. We have our anniversary dinner there every year.

I would go for the Yachtsman Steak House at the Yacht Resort resort. Any resturant in Epcot you are going to take the chance of kids. For a quite dinner go to the Yacht Club. OR you might want to try the Blue Zoo? At the Swan and Dolphin. More grown ups.

Bistro de Paris has a great location and even better durning illuminations but the food was not very good I liked the food in Chefs de France better.

I'd take the boat over to DHS (formerly MGM) and eat at the Brown Derby. They serve Cobb Salad the original way--much different from what shows up in restaurants today--sophisticated entrees and fabulous grapefruit cake. My wife and I always take a date night there when we come to WDW.

We like getting a table at Rose & Crown at 7:30 PM, and then watching Illuminations! We love Yachtsman Steakhouse too!

the foods not the best but you cant the ambiance of Mexico at Epcot

I'm getting hungry reading the replies. I agree that Mexico has the atmosphere...too bad the food and service aren't as good. I might also check into the new restaurant that has taken over Spoodles. It serves Greek food, but I'm not sure about the atmosphere there. I had not thought about Yachtsman Steakhouse, so thanks for that idea. Paris, Brown Derby, and the rest sound good, too. Now I have too many options!

Thanks for the suggestions - I think I will check out menus to make the final decision.

Out of all the suggestions, the Yachtsman is the only true high end restaurant. It's quieter than the others with less chance for screaming kids.

Of course everyone has their favorite places, but for a romantic, quiet dinner, the Yachtsman is the best choice with Bistro de Paris second.

I agree the Yachtsman is a great choice. If you like steak I would also consider Shula's in the Dolphin. Usually no kids, outstanding service and the steak is great.

Bistro is nice. We first went there many years ago.

We went last year for our 10th anniversary. It didn't seem to be as good as the first time around. Not sure why. It was nice, but just seemed to be missing something.

I'd be inclined to suggest that you follow the Yachtsmans recommendations though I have never been there.

DH & I have had several nice romantic dinners at BlueZoo. Only one time did I see any children in there & that was a very well behaved young man of about 9 or 10. The food is delicious & our service has always been impeccable. They have a nice drink menu & wine list.

It has a sort of modern, urban groove, there are curved boothes with some pillows scattered about which are perfect for snuggling up. One night, we were seated at a booth by the far back corner & realized we could see some of the Illuminations fireworks from the window.

Our favorite night out includes dinner at BlueZoo followed by a stroll arm in arm around Crescent Lake. We like to pull up a bench on the Boardwalk & just watch the lights play on the water.

Enjoy your solo time together. WDW is full of romance.

the restraunt inside mexico i think its valled san miguel. asked to be seated by the river ride. there is running water volcano and a night time island theme in the back ground with candle light lighting. Never been but victoria and alberts from what i hear.
