Romantic Dinner Ideas

Hello! My girlfriend and I are going to Disneyland in April on a Wednesday and I am planning on surprising her with a romantic, sit-down dinner. I know that the Blue Bayou is always the go-to option, but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. We would be able to go either to Disneyland or California Adventure. Thank you for any advice! :goodvibes

i 2nd that.. specially if this romantic dinner turns into a proposal.. :)

Thank you for the input!! Haha we are not quite yet to the proposal stage! Are there any good choices inside the parks or in Downtown Disney?

There are no such thing as romantic dinners in DLR... Unless you can show me a restaurant where you won't end up sitting next to someone wearing shorts and a tank top!

Club 33 has a fairly strict dress code! No tanks and no shorts fordinner! ;)

Haha, yeah Club 33 is just a bit out of our reach, and our price range. :)

Yea, but someone who comes to TheDis asking for suggestions on where to eat probably doesn't have access to Club 33. ;)

True! But the question was asked if there was any place in the DLR where tanks and shorts were not allowed. And there is! Even if not accessible to all.

And you never know who can get you into Club 33. We had no idea a relative had Club 33 access until fairly recently. Never hurts to ask!

In general this is pretty true. Kids are welcome everywhere so you can't expect a perfectly peaceful and romantic dinner.

So I would aim for where most people wouldn't want to take kids. Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55. But if you want to add some fun to romance expand the options to BB or WCT.

Maybe Chef's Counter at Napa Rose? Most likely no kids...

I think Steakhouse 55 is very good especially if you like a good steak (located inside the Disney Hotel), or Napa Rose in The Grand Californian for a very fine dining experience.

Inside the parks I think Wine Country Trattoria is a nice dinner for evening although the food is not like Napa or Steakhouse (IMO) it is still good and the atmosphere is very nice, you could even do a World of Color dinner package so that you could catch the show after dinner. I think it runs around 40.00 a person, not positive on the price, and they give you a ticket (preferred section) to the WOC show after your meal is done

I think your best bets are Napa Rose or BB, even with kids (and people in shorts & tank tops) both are romantic with the right attitude. :)

Ditto Napa Rose, Chef's Counter. Be prepared for a hefty bill at the end of the meal though :scared1:

Maybe split the Vintner's Menu at the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose? I think the Vintner's is $90, so wouldn't be too bad if you split the menu and maybe added some apps or something? :)

Napa Rose is always very nice for a romantic dinner, but is very pricey, especially when you get the Vitner's Table with the wine flight!

The restaurant I actually prefer more now is Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel. It was closed recently for renovations and I'm not sure if it is back open yet.

Have fun! :goodvibes
