Anyone have any romantic dinner at home ideas? Want to plan a date night at home next week :)

No seafood or "weird" meats (lamb, duck, etc:happytv:)

Also, I am gluten free. But, I can modify recipes:)

TIA:yay:

Recreate your first date, or wedding menu. Something meaningful for the two of you. :) Where did you honeymoon? Make it a theme...

While I can appreciate the no-seafood comment - do you like shrimp?

What about tossing some shrimp skewers onto the BBQ for appetizers, and then have some steaks?

And, I do have to apologize -gluten-free just pertains to wheat - right??? What about some a nice rice pilaf to go with it?

Don't forget the candles! We try to do candles, even if not planning a romantic dinner, when our DD is not home. It just gets you to starting to relax a little sooner.

For dessert - someone at a neighborhood function that we attended had a gluton free chocolate-raspberry thing that got rave reviews. (I don't like any berries - so I simply do not recall who made it, I could possibly try to find out who made it.) If I remember correctly (as this was clearly a "wine" night:lmao:) it appeared to have a cheesecake type of texture...or maybe it was a choc-rasp brownie. the reason I clrealy remember the discussion - one of the parents at this function, had just found out their daughter had celiac's - after literally 10 years of doctor's visits and issues.
