I'm planning my honeymoon in DL, and I've looked around the immediate area a bit (not way in depth though), and to be honest, I haven't found anything. I think the best bet is going to be dinner on Catalina Island (NICE place on a clear day around sunset time) or some place in San Diego (I'm trying to talk her into lunch or dinner at the Stone Brewery while we're in SD) during one of our "off property" days.
My husband and I went to Disneyland just the two of us for a change of pace two years ago and really enjoyed Naples in DTD. There can be kids around but we went pretty late, sat outside and it was very nice. We had a bottle of wine and there is a violinist that plays in DTD most weekend nights and he is usually right near Naples. We had a leisurely dinner, enjoyed the music and my husband bought me the cd. I love to listen to it and remember our very nice night! Napa Rose might also be nice (in the Grand Californian Hotel). I haven't been there but its supposed to be wonderful and so pricey I doubt that there would be too many kids there. Good luck and have a great honeymoon!
Do you have a car? If you want a beautiful setting and good Mexican food, look into Las Brisas in Laguna Beach! It's a bit of a drive from DL, but WOW!
Try a search for them online...it's one of my favorite places to go.
I think there is a buca di beppos close to disney. that is an italian family style restaurant and is sooooo delicious!! http://www.bucadibeppo.com/loc_details.asp?ID=0518
they have really nice wines and eclectic art. It can be very romantic too!
hope this helps. Plus, they have a togo menu, if you know what I mean...
Outside Disneyland there is a Benihana's a little ways down on Ball, but it is closed for remodeling until August. There is a restaurant out on the pier at Newport Beach that is fun, not really fancy, but an awesome environment.
Inside the Disneyland Resort there is Catal, Napa Rose, Naples. the Vineyard Room and Blue Bayou once it reopens in July.
If you like the idea of Benihana theres a Japanese steak house like that that's a lot nicer in Anaheim Hills. It's called Hibachi Steak House, it's probably 15 minutes away from DLand, maybe even shorter.
I second the idea of the melting pot. I have been to them in Washington state and in Arizona and its a wonderful honeymoon type place. You eat fondue, and save room for dessert!! Thats a pot of chocolate you can dip, strawberries, bannanas, sponge cake, cheese cake or even coconut marshamllows. Go to their web site to read more about them. Its a bit pricey but so worth it!! I think its www.meltingpot.com
Also I heard its half price at happy hour but you dont get meat in your choices then. I have done both and you can get by with no meat and walk away stuffed but I think I enjoyed the time we went and had meat. It was cooked in a broth, you cooked it that is. We had chicken, beef, I think shrimp and other things I am forgetting right now.
