anyway i could surpise my husband with something romantic on the cruise. i have to figure a way so he wont see reciepts or anything? could be hard

Here's my take. If you don't want him to find a receipt, I would go to Victoria Secret and pay cash.

Have you researched the packages and different thing offered at the Spa on the ship? I have heard there are some "couple" things.

When do you sail? Do you have a verandah? Do you have kids? If so, check the kids in, order a cheese plate with some wine.....






ganurse: I plan on sending my DH off with a drink, a book to a lounger to relax, leave him alone and just let him snooze and just be back to the room at _____ time....... to him, that's romance

I booked the Romantic Escape at sea package-- you get couples massages, reservatiosn at Palo, turndown service-- with rosepetals leading to your room, champagne breakfast in bed & a gift basket in your room. It's $299- a little more than if you did each thing seperately, but I think it's worth it for not having to make the reservations while onboard. I used a card that only has my name on it so he won't see what I've done & I spoke to a cruise rep & they said I would recieve either a telephone call or a letter & I that's how I would pick the times for the massage & the night for Palo-- but for me that was no good so they gave me a specific extention to dial & speak to someone so I could do all of it over the phone & with out my even suggesting it the CM made a note on my account that if my bf should call he is not to be told about any special arrangememnts!! If you don't have a credit card with only your name how about asking a family member or friend to make the reservation for you & you can just give them the cash?Good luck, have a great time!!

It's so worth it! We just got back & I loved it! I made the reservations a few weeks before & it was so nice not to have to worry about getting to the spa & palo once we were on the ship! Plus it was already paid for so we didn't have another $200 on our bill. The basket was nice, so was the turndown service. I highly reccomend it! Check out some other threads about REAS & you'll see some peoples questions & expiriences.

i am hoping there is still time for the reas package. i want to find some alone time with him. besides the gift baskets, what else could i bring to surprise him? is palos able to just seat one couple at a table?

If you want a basket, why not contact Shirley and see if you can mail her a check before the cruise. That way she could do a wonderful basket. I know we used our credit card to order a wonderful basket with Shirley, but she's so sweet, she may be willing to work with you if she can get payment before your cruise. It doesn't hurt to call her and ask. My DH absolutely loved his beer basket that she put together. Not really on the "romantic" side, but definately something he loved!

You could also bring your own bottle of champagne tucked in your carry on......just be prepared for him to ask why your bag is so heavy.

As for Palo - yes the definatley have tables for 2. And I would highly recommend going no matter what. Even brunch can be romantic...a quiet aftenoon eating luxurious food while sailing across the blue ocean...ahhhhh!!!!

Go to the spa and book the SURIAL RITUAL CHAMBER. You and your husband should love that experiance. My DW and I loved this.

Make reservations for a mud bath! Sixty minutes of fun! No one around, but you and him, and mud, salt, sauna, massage oils, and fun! It would be a real treat for him and you too!!
