Hello!

I've been left in charge of all the organisation for our trip (24/9 - 8/10 POFQ) and as it's 3 couples going (my mum + dad, Little Sister + Her boyf and me an mine) I'm arranging a 'date night'.

I'm sending my sister off to the California Grill round about fireworks time.

Should I send my parents to 'Narcoossee's' or 'Citricos'? (they want to dress nicely)

We're on the dining plan so V&A is out :'(

Any tips gratefully received!

ps. when I say 'left in charge' I obviously mean 'told them I'd do it as they'd only get it wrong'

Either Narcoossee's or Citrico's will be very nice. Citrico's has a bit more secluded, elegant feel, while Narcoossee's has a great location with a view across Seven Seas Lagoon. It depends on what appeals to your parents more.
You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide. :disrocks:

There's likely to be a lot of kids at Narcoossee's, and if they want to dress "nicely", likely they'll fit in better at Citrico's.

PS You don't mean coat, tie, etc do you???

I agree with UncleRomulus. Narcoosees is not very upscale and our last few visits have been anything but romantic with the number of children misbehaving.

Citricos definitely has a more romantic vibe and is usually a quieter dining experience. I think the food is much better here than at Narcoosees.

. . . Should I send my parents to 'Narcoossee's' or 'Citricos'? (they want to dress nicely) . . .

1) If DDP is a requirement, then I recommend Citricos.
2) No other DDP eatery comes close to romance, incl Cali Grill
. . . too many kids
. . . too many adults who don't know how to eat at fine dining
. . . too much noise

Another voice for Citricos here. Excellent food, ambiance, and service. We've dined at Narcoosees and Cali Grill but prefer Citrico's for a relaxed, high quality dinner.

We have been to both without kids

For food alone, its Citricos. We went last week and there was one kid crawling around the floor who bumped into my chair. You can also have them listen to the music in the Grand Floridian lobby.

Narcoosees - very unfriendly castmember, too noisy, only go if you want them to walk out and see the fireworks from the outside area. We had 2 noisy kids next to us there last time.We did not enjoy the food either.

Between the two- def citricos. Although would you consider sending them somewhere else? Artist point, jiko etc?

For a few dollars more, Victoria & Albert may be more fitting a person who refers to their parent as, "Mum."

But I go along with the crowd on this one - Citrico's is more romantic than Narcoossee's (and my family loves Narcoossee's)......

My Mum really wants to go to the Grand Floridian, otherwise I'd be posting them off to Jiko!

I'm in with everyone else who says Citricos has a much more romantic feel than Narcoossees.

I would have also suggested Jiko since, from our experiences, it comes in second for romance. Not to mention AKL is a beautiful resort to just grab a drink and watch out over the savanahs (with or without night vision goggles)or sit at one of the fire pits.

Artist Point would be third on my list as far as signatures on the dining plan for romance.

If you choose to not use the dining plan (I personally wouldn't use 2 TS credits if you are on the basic dining plan, DxDP is a different story) V&A's, Shula's and bluezoo would be my top 3 choices for romance. :thumbsup2

I also vote that Narcoosees is not very romantic. There really are a lot of kids there and while it is dim and romantic looking, there is nothing romantic about a screaming baby at the table next to you.
