Hi,

Any suggestions for a romantic dinner for DH and I for our 13th anniversary? We are thinking about leaving kids with MIL/FIL and having a nice evening on our last night in the World. Our anniversary is Monday 14th.

:goodvibes

:teacher: I'm a teacher too. DH and I have spent 2 anniversaries at CA Grill. It's noisy sometimes (open kitchen) but the view is so nice. We wait for our table on the observation deck that overlooks the MK. During the MK fireworks, servers halt service until the lights come back on and the music is piped in. The food is good and so is the wine. It's a little pricey, but we've received a free dessert because of the special occasion.

There are many other romantic options. For more suggestions, it may help to know what kind of food and/or prices you expect. Will you be able to dine in a park, or just at a hotel? Happy planning!

We would normally spend around $100 or less on our anniversary evening. We love Italian, steak house, american grill, japanese, dh loves seafood....

We are already eating at Ohana, Biergarten, Tony's, and Sci-Fi with the family, so something other than those...

It could be in the parks or the resorts, we have park hoppers for all 7 days.

For a nice romantic dinner its hard to beat Artist Point. Yes, Victoria & Alberts would be better, but its not in your price range.

AP has a wonderful atmosphere, very different menu and the opportunity to walk along the lake afterwards hand-in-hand.

A second choice would be the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Also very good food and atmosphere.

We did that one year. We didn't go for the traditional romance line and ended up for a couple of hours in Disneyquest, then meal at Wolfgang pucks (probably could eat anywhere) then a stroll along whole of Downtown Disney. That was such a wonderful evening and we had great fun and remained relaxed. Would definetely recommend that as all that was important for us was to relax and spend quality, fun time together which we achieved

I would wholeheartedly recommend Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge!! :thumbsup2 We ate there for DW's birthday this past August, and were blown away by the quality of the food and the service (the filet was honestly so tender that you could easily cut it withy a butter knife).
The atmosphere was elegant and was absolutely one of the quietest (if not the quietest) restaurants during our whole trip (and we dined there on a Monday night, as well). And, of course, you could top the evening off with a stroll through the lobby/grounds of the AKL, looking at exotic animals and decor.

HTH! :sunny:

P.S. If at all interested, PM me, and I can tell you more or even send you pictures from our meal.

My Dh and I are doing Le Cellier for our anniversary but you would have to see if you can get an ADR for it (I hear it books quickly because of its small and intimate setting)
