Romance at Sea Package

We're cruising 9/25/04 with the REAS package, booked with Debbie, who was extremely nice and helpful. I definitely feel that the package is worth the price if only for the convience of having reservations made in advance. Plus I enjoy having a package in the room to unwrap when I arrive, even if I paid for it.

You are not sailing for a year and you already booked you palo and spa ressies?? Boy I am cruising April 30th.. I better get on the ball LOL!!
I am hoping to book Palo dinner for formal night so I don't have to get dressed up twice!

I just added REAS to my reservation. My TA is Dreams Unlimited, who have been fantastic so far...

They told me to let them know my Palo/Spa selections and they would notify Disney when the time came. (I'm going on the 1/29 cruise, so perhaps it's too early to book them right now.)

Question: I see a lot about calling Debbie to book. Should I relax and leave it to my TA to secure the reservation, or should I bypass DU and go directly to Debbie and book myself? Think that would cause confusion if I did?

Anyone with experience with Dreams Unlimited and this situation, please advise...

I have spoken to Debbie twice this week, she is really nice. You will enjoy talking to her. we are cruising at the end of November and she never made me feel that it was too early to book.

I'm in the exact same situation!!::yes:: I'm wondering should I try to book myself and how far out I can do that.

I used CostCo as my TA, but went to Debbie at DCL myself for the spa ressies. That way, I was able to select from multiple times for Palo and the Spa, and I didn't have to wait until the TA told me when my spa ressies were, or we had to do a lot of back and forth. As many have said, Debbie is absolutely one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with in a customer service position.

QUICK QUESTION, DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN SWITCH THE CHAMPANE FOR A BOTTLE OF WINE, SAY AT PALO'S.

I HATE CHAMPANE, BUT LOVE WINE??

OK -
I just called Debbie. I told her I was booked through Dreams Unlimited and she told me that Tammy or Sue Ellen from DU will definitely contact her to make my REAS Palo/Spa ressies. No need to check back.

Sounds like DU and Debbie have a good communication system so I'll leave it in DU's hands...

Don't worry, DU will do a great job for you, and are willing to change it a zillion times when you change your mind (I am so sorry Carole!).

I went ahead and did the whole Romance package land and sea. Initially I wanted the REAS just for the ease of ressies, but when I saw what was all offered with the whole thing, and know what we like it was great. We actually came out ahead. The only difficulty I had was in booking the spa on land. My DU agent contacted the Poly, they said they only booked if we were concierge (sadly no) and we had to book through DCL. My agent went on her own vacation (which she definitely deserves), and told me to call Debbie if I hadn't heard back from a message that was left for her. I called Debbie, and she told me she has nothing to do with land, and to call the Poly and ask them again. I did so, and again they told me they didn't do it. I finally called the spa myself, and it was ok for me to book it as I simply received a voucher when I check in, and will bring that with us. Really it was no big deal, but I should have thought of it sooner.

Just an FYI here for everyone--

The 2005 Spa and Palo times are not ready to be booked yet. The bookings are only though the end of December (with the exception of the 12/18 ten night sailing, which is not yet pre-booking either.)

I hope this is helpful to some of you wondering about your 2005 sail dates.

Sue Ellen
