The roller coasters at WDW aren't bad. They aren't the out of control, high speed, many inversioned roller coasters at Universal or anyother local amusemant park.

The 2 "worst" ones are the new Expedition Everest and Rock n Roller Coaster. Both are pretty fast, but aren't too intense.

Expedition Everest, you go backwards at one point, but you just do some helixes and turns, EE also doesn't have an loops. EE just has one big drop, and it isn't even that bad. It's just a little steep, but it's over with in about 1 second.

Rock n Roller Coaster is a launched roller coaster. It go to about 60mph. But after the shoot off, the speed drops. It's still fairly fast, but not too bad. Plus you are inside, so it's not nearly as scary. This ride has 3 inversions. 2 half loops in the beginning, then a corkscrew near the end. They go by quickly, and you have a harness with handles to grab onto if needed. Plus this ride is in the dark. You can see the track, but I think the dark adds some comfort, so you can't see what's coming so you can't get scared for it. This is my favorite ride at WDW, and it's a lot of fun.

The rest of the roller coasters are very tame. They only go about 30mph and there aren't any more looping ones. Space Mt. at Magic Kingdom is in the dark, and you can't really see the track infront of you. It has sharp, sudden turns, but it only goes about 28mph. There aren't any big drops, just small dips occasionally. If you want a less turbulant ride, try and sit in the middle of the train. The train seats one person per seat. So you sit behind the person in front of you. The people in the very front and very back have the most intense ride, in the front you can't see a thing so you get jerked around more (if you sit near the middle, you have about a second to brace yourself for the turn) and the back you get whipped around the corners.

Big Thunder Mt. at Magic Kingdom is like a kiddie roller coaster. It's still a lot of fun. Just turns and a few little dips. It also goes about 28mph.

And the funnest of them all, Primeval Whirl. This is in Animal Kingdom and it is a spinning coaster. It doesn't have any huge drops, but maybe one decent sized one. It's still like a kiddie coaster. It's not fast, but you car spins during one part of the ride. So when you go around the hairpin turn, you start spinning. It's sooo much fun, as long as you don't get motion sickness! :p

If I get scared on a roller coaster, they do have the restaints to hold onto! That helps. Or even holding onto the person next to me, as long as I know them. ;) And if I know what the ride is like, then it helps a lot. If you'd like to see what exacly happens in the rides, there's a site of videos I found. http://www.mousebuzz.com/forum/mouse-trap/25310-lot-disney-videos.html Some of them are from Disneyland, but most of the rides at WDW are here. The first time I went on some of the bigger rides at WDW, I was scared, then when I watched the videos of the ride and got an idea of what happened, I felt better and I could go on the ride with little nervousness.

Have lots of fun, and if you need any more info on rides at WDW, go to this site www.allearsnet.com It has tons and tons of info and pictures!!

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE AND HOPE TO SPEAK SOON

if yur really scared just do one of the biggies(RnR and EE) and if you like it dare to try the other

I am normally not scared but if i am then I just think of good thoughts and how i might feel when i get off the ride. Everyone has their own ways. It's true, most of the rides there are not bad at all.

Disney coasters are all pretty low key. . .I am VERY prone to motion sickness but after the rides at Disney I don't feel the least bit sick! They're just fun. . .but you don't have to go on them if you don't want to.

I felt the same way before my first trip. I started with Big Thunder (in my opinion the tamest) and worked my way up. In the beginning I hate splash mountain but now I love it. I also love RnRC, and will be riding EE sometime TOMMOROW!
My big fear this trip is TOT. I am terrified of elevators...and have NEVER done a freefall drop...So I've never gone on it before now.

Just start small, and see how you like some of the smaller coasters. You'll PROBABLY love them, but you'll never know unless you give it a shot!

Good luck and have a magical trip!

I really dont know how to help you get over your fear, but i do know some tame roller coasters. In a list from 1-5 ill name 1 the easiest and 5 the hardest. Ok?

1. Goofy Barstormers (if you come early in the morning he goes on the first run, front row) :goofy:
2. Thundermountain Railroad ( it you are very scared, go in the back, middle seat)
3. Splash Mountain ( i was terrified and thought it looked steep! and i backed out 2 times, but it is clam and the drop it like 2 seconds and not even steep)
4. Space Mountain (if you are too scared, i feel for you, im still scared to go, but i do)
5. Rock N' Roller Coaster (i cried and i didnt want to go, but then i did and i went 3 times! the launch is so fast but then you go slower than barnstormers its really weird?)

These are some rides, i think space mountain should be at the bottom lol

Just go on TOT, I was terrified then i went on and i ended up going on 4 more times! Its one you dont want to miss

Disney roller coasters arent bad... try the Barnstormer at Toontown first.. its a VERY small coaster that lasts all of 30 seconds... the height is 35 in. so its made for kids.. once youve done that try BTMRR and Primeval Whirl at AK... Splash Mountain is NOT bad... 3 tiny drops and the one big one... Expedition Everest and Rockin Rolller Coaster are fun.. Rockin' roller coaster goes from 0-60mph in like 3 seconds... but then slows down... it has 3 loops......... EE goes backwards and at one point you DO feel like your going to go upside down but you dont - the one hill is pretty steep but isnt that bad (like splash mount.) TOT is fun too... it IS in the dark most of the time but still is fun!! kinds scary, but fun!! Space mountain isnt bad... there arent any loops or anything.. goes slower than BTMRR.. you mostly spiral down and there are like 3 tiny POTC sized hills.. hope this helps!! try them all cause im sure youll like them!! :) and if you dont youll know for next time!!
