roller coaster recommendations for Cedar Point

My trip planning for rides will be covered with this thread! Thanks again to everyone. As the Girl Scout troop leader, I have booked reservations, prepared permission slips, printed directions, and estimated a budget for meals, etc. Now I just need to pack my clothes and cooler with breakfast and lunch food. Once we leave I'll just hang with the girls. Thanks to all of you I can have fun and avoid get motion sickness by bowing out at the right times so I can help the other chaperone with driving!:thumbsup2

Budget high for the food. REALLY high. It's $7.50 for a 6-inch Subway sub! Everything else is similar in price. Makes Disney look cheap!

You may also want to watch the videos for some of the more aggressive coasters.

You can also search for unofficial videos on youtube by searching for the name of the coaster + "POV" (point of view).

I love riding Millenium Force and Magnum XL-200. Big hills and lap-bars -- nothing at WDW compares.

A discussion of Cedar Point is really off topic for the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board, which is meant to focus on Walt Disney World. So I've moved this thread to the Theme Parks Community board. :)

Well, we're back from our trip. It went well thanks to all the information everyone shared. Gotta love Disboards and the people willing to answer questions!!

I rode all of the roller coasters except Mean Streak, Mantis, and Corkscrew. We were ready to board Corkscrew but it shut down due to precipitation. The other two were skipped by choice. My favorite roller coaster was Magnum. The only one I would not ride again was Maverick.

I also rode several thrill rides including Power Tower (both towers and preferred the free fall side), Sky Hawk, AirMax, and Wind Seeker. It would be hard to choose a favorite between these. It might be Sky Hawk due to the shorter wait time!

We saved money thanks to tips from several posters since we packed picnic lunches for both days and knew to ask for courtesy cups of water.
