Hi does anyone know if there is a age limit for the use of a Rollaway bed while staying on site have been told conflicting advice ie only for children, suitable for 'Junior' , suitable for adult , and any experience of using one these would be helpfull Thanks :confused3

The rollaway beds at Port Orleans Riverside are officially for up to 9 years old and you cannot book 5 into a room unless one is 9 or under. I would imagine the other hotels onsite are the same. I haven't used one yet but we have one booked for next year. We will probably end up getting an airbed from Walmart and use that instead so our boy can sleep on it and the 2 girls can share the bed! We'll have all the bedding for the rollaway so it shouldn't be too much of an issue and we can either slide it under a bed or stand it up against the wall so it is out of the way when not in use.

From what information I have found the rollaways will fit an average to small 9 year old but anyone bigger than that will find it uncomfortable. We're just going to see how it is when we get there.

thanks for the info could you advise where you found details re PORR and age :surfweb:

UPDATE - I don't know if you are planning on staying in POR but if you are they are currently refurbing the resort and the trundle beds are being replaced with a pull-down bed which is suitable for adults :cool1: No need for our airbed plan woohoo! The site I got this information from is a very cool site if you are planning on staying at Port Orleans - www.portorleans.org

More specifically information on this refurb can be found on that site at http://www.portorleans.org/news.php#260811

Hope that helps.

A Rollaway bed is different from the Trundle at POR.

Disney charge a nightly fee for a rollaway bed and it can't be used to increase occupancy.

The ones I have seen in hallways look like a camp bed type so would be Ok for a small adult.

The trundle at POR pulls out from under one of the beds and is shorter than a standard bed.
