Roll Call! Who's going mid-September 2012?

So who got tickets today?? I got my AP today decided to jump on it before I chickened out and the prices went up!

I got my tickets yesterday for our trip! Sept 18-22. I also booked the GCH! I hope it's worth it!! We decided to splurge this trip! Happy that I saved on my tickets, though.....:thumbsup2

Any thoughts on where to dine???

We are going Sept 23-29th. I'm hoping to catch the Hallowing party on the 29the :D We went in 2009 but I'm curious about the move to Disneyland and my youngest doesn't remember it. Also I think this will be our last Halloween visit for a while. The last two have been Halloween and I'd like a change next time :)

We are also going to be there for my son's 10th birthday!! I'm so excited for that. He has autism and the kids never showed to his birthday party when we tried, so this is a nice way for us to give him a really fun birthday party where it isn't just family since the only other child in the family is his four year old brother. We are debating between going to Carnation Cafe for dinner and getting him a very cool cake or doing the birthday party with Pat-E Cake again.

We are driving down and staying at the Best Western Anaheim Inn. Got a great rate ($80/night) and this is a budget trip since I recently left my job to stay home for a year :)

YAY for the tickets, and as for where to dine I have not been in 4 yrs so no good there. We did Goofys kitchen in 2007 and loved it. I am booking at Plaza Inn when I get the chance for a breakfast.

We will be there for my sons 10th bday! We had the same problem with kids not showing up last year planned a skating party and no one came. He was crushed. Ours was more that we picked a day kids had hockey tryouts, and we had moved the month before so no one knew him well!

WOW guess I was really behind there! Updated the roll call list (post#3) Does anyone else have PTR started?

Whats your dining thoughts? anything planned yet?

I am pretty new to these boards and I was wondering if PTR means pre-trip report or something else? I would love to start one if that is what it means. Is there a certain thread that you started that under??

I haven't thought about dining stuff yet. My kids are picky eaters and since 2 of them would have to order off the "adult" menu, (Even though they are 10 and 12) I just dont' think it is worth it for us to eat somewhere like Blue Bayou. When we went in May 2011 we just played it by ear and ate where we were when we got hungry and it worked out fine for us. I def want to eat dinner in Cars Land, but I can't figure out if you need reservations for those or not???

All I know is that I am soooo excited I could just burst, especially when I see Disneyland commercials on TV. I think my kids think I am bonkers when I jump up and down and start clapping when I see the commercials!!

Where is everyone staying? We will be at the Disneyland Hotel. Haven't seen it since the remodel!

Since my sis-in-law works for the Marriott hotels, I stalked the Marriott website every day from the moment I found out we were going (back in February) and in April I found an awesome rate for 45.00 bucks a night at the Residence Inn in Garden Grove. I love that it has free breakfast and that ART stops right in front. :woohoo:

Yes that is the Pre-trip report.... I really need to come up with something more catchy for a name! U can click on mine and follow along, I am new to writing them, I am trying some new stuff for this upcoming trip!

We pretty much just eat wherever as well. Except for the one breakfast I have to book for DS birthday. I am booking it the day before because the day of his bday he becomes adult prices! I don't want to pay the extra money when he wont eat that much food! Thats extra money for other stuff.

Should I buy my tickets now? Did I miss something?

I think some of the third party sites still have cheap tickets, like get away today. I wouldn't wait too long on that. They jumped significantly over the weekend.

Feeling a little lost...haven't been paying attention!

Getaway today prices are $250 for a 3-day adult park-hopper, $235 for a 3-day child park-hopper..is that a good deal?

I checked into the Alaska tickets and you need to purchase a pkg with them.

They would allow me to do one way air and a good neighbour hotel to get the pkg when I explained I was taking the DCL to LA. Tickets are cheaper but hotel cost more and no guarentee of the room. I have a suite booked.

I have left a message with my TA to book DL tickets either today (not sure if they are open-holiday) or tomorrow as Flight Centre's deal expires tomorrow.

Our flight out of LA leaves at 1:30pm, what time do you think the shuttle will pick us up? We are going to SEA and then Bellingham. Just trying to figure out if I will have an hour or two on the last morning to go to DL. $4 difference. My mom says she doesn't want to go for an hour, but I love Disney and think $4 is worth it for an hour.

I would imagine the shuttle will pick you up about 3 hours before hand, giving you an hour to get to the airport and a couple of hours at the airport for check in. Your time in the morning might be sort but for $4.00 it might give you that last minute chance to get some souvenirs or just walk through the park without the pressure of doing rides to build those memories.

I'm super glad I booked my tickets last week. I used flight center and got the 6 day hopper. The service was great. I did it through their call center and the agent was very helpful.

What promo is ending with them on Monday, the 5for3?

It's the discounted tickets 4days (adult)-$220, 5 days (adult)-$224 includes taxes and fees and is priced in Canadian.

Wow, I just dodged a bullet thanks to all of you! First, I quickly bought 3-day park hoppers on Getawaytoday. Saved a big chunk of change.:cool1:

Next, I called DLR to change our reservations from hotel + tickets to hotel only. I got a verrrryyyyy slow and slightly confused agent. I'm still not sure if she actually cancelled my reservation - I need to call back and check tomorrow - but she did mention something that was super important. We had booked a 1-bedroom suite, banking on the fact that typically Disney has a Fall offer good for 25-30% off. The agent I was speaking to told me that the discounted offer was not valid on suites!!! I am going to confirm this as well when I call back, but I'm feeling lucky that it's on my radar.

Thanks again, guys.
