Roll Call! Who's going mid-September 2012?

Anyone hear anything lately about ride closures during September?

No, not really. I'm not sure how long it takes them to do the overlay on Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain. Depending on whether or not we are talking about the beginning of Sept vs the end of Sept as I think there will be less closures later in September... not really sure though.

My fingers are crossed that California Screamin' will be open as last year it was closed. My DD would be crushed.

Also, I'm hoping SM will be available since we never got to do that ride either. :worried:

I know I can hardly wait! We did Goofys kitchen in 2007 and Chef mickeys in 2010, I preffered Goofys Kitchen!

That is good to know. I do not like the food at Chef Mickey's, but my three kids love it. The food at Cafe Mickey's in Paris was the best meal I had there. So, I am hopeful Goofy's Kitchen is yummy.

I am!!! BF and I will be staying for three nights Sep 16-19, after our pacific cruise down the coast, and two of our friends are meeting us there :cool1: I haven't been to DL since the year California Adventure opened so I'm really excited!!!!

We'll be there for 8 days from the 16th to the 24th, not sure which 8 yet, (that's 9 days). Breaking it up with a beach day. :) Hoping for some nice warm weather..

We're gonna be on the same cruise as Tinkerbell (Hi!) ---I am so excited for this trip!!!! :)

Looks like we will be going September 27th to October 5th
We will be there at the end of Sept as well!

Which beach are u planning on seeing? I don't remember the one we went to in 2007, for some reason I keep thinking huntington... but I could be wrong

Duh, just realized this thread is for Disneylanders! Sorry, going to DW in Sept. not DL!

LOL no worries, we all do it! :thumbsup2 Enjoy your trip I would love to do WDW again, but being as we have been 2 times in the last 8 mths, we decided that DL was the place to go this round!

I'm torn between Huntington beach and Newport. I haven't been to either of them, but both look nice. I'm not sure but maybe newport has better sand??? Huntington beach allows you to have beach fires though, and I think the kids would love that. I just don't knwo where we're going to get firewood haha. But I am leaning towards Huntington. :beach:

Early September here - driving down on Labor day to be in the part 9/4-9/7. First time for me at DL, first time for DH and I at Disney in 6+ years. Kids will be 1 and 3 so I'm not too concerned with closures on the big rides.

We have a Kid's Suite booked at HoJo and a club room at Sheraton Park free with points. Trying to decide between the two. HoJo has the fun water area that my kids will love and gives us a separate room for them. Sheraton Park is free and theoretically nicer. Still torn, but if I can get a retro rate I think HoJo will win.

To prep I'm screening the early Disney movies with my 3 year old so he recognizes the characters and rides. So far he LOVES Dumbo, and of course CarsLand will be perfection for him. Can't wait to see the excitement in their little faces.

We haven't picked a date yet just back from WDW but we are looking at the first two weeks in Sept weather should be nice and warm and summer crowds should be gone . Grew up in southern California have not been to disneyland since i moved to Colorado. It will be nice to see all the changes over the last 20 years.

My mom and I will be there September 16-20th.

There should be quite a few families around those dates as there are a bunch of us on the DCL repo from Vancouver to LA.

There must be another thread on here somewhere as I'm sure I checked in before on the Disneyland board.

We will be there Sept 20 - 24....staying at HoJos..we love the place...we have apark view/fireworks view room this time. (we usually stay by the big pool).

Can't wait!!!!

Where is everyone staying? We will be at the Disneyland Hotel. Haven't seen it since the remodel!

I am headed there for 1 night in July. I have never been to DLR, so the remodel will be the first time I have seen it. The pics look amazing!!

That sounds great!! I hope you post pics - I'd love to see what the rooms are like there!

Will the Halloween dates be posted mid-late June? I guess I am impatient;)

I am also planning my 7yo's trip to Disney World in November, but I feel much more prepared for that trip. They have come out with times and MVMCP tickets. :santa: I have a week before I can start booking her dining reservations. :upsidedow
