Nope, not a nurse. My dad is a radiologist and I always thought I should have been a nurse BUT...... (I am a stay at home mom but in my previous life ~ 10 years ago! ~ I was a civil engineer).

Civil engineer-cool! I guess >20 years as a nurse anything sounds interesting although I am now part of the "corporate world." so that's a change in scenery.

Diana, looks like approx. 35 adults and kids??????? 14 that I know of but not all people wrote who was going. Denine would have a better count. Do you guys realize that it has been 6 months since we started this thread. My gosh, it's like we are best buddies and then after the cruise we go our separate ways. Kind of sad to think about it.

I'm glad to see a lot of nurses on board! I know where to go if anyone gets sick! LOL! I was a teacher before I became a stay at home mommy. Garry aka Boardwalk Garry is a sgt. on the police force for the city. So I look at it this way, we will be ne health and safe bunch of cruisers!!!!

Jiminy: who said that will be all going our seperate ways? I figure we will be here or on another thread chatting to each other. I live to check this board everyday. HEY, let's all just book another cruise before we get off the boat and then we'll have a whole year to chat! ( that is if we all like each other in person, which I don't think that will be a problem) What do you think? Sound like a good plan huh?

Hey Julie, glad to see I will not be the only one here this weekend. You'll see how slow it gets.

Do you think if you & I put a lot of posts on here we can make those who abandon us on the weekend suffer and have to read them all?

I'm thinking of a little contest. One of these posts will have a tidbit of info in it. On Monday I will ask a question concerning that info. The first to answer that question will get a prize!! Maybe we'll get some more lurkers out of the closet!

Like I said, worked at the Disney Store for 7 years so I have a lot of stuff stashed away! Oh, I can be so devious at times!

Picking up last minute stuff this weekend and I should be good to go except having to take in some of my clothes. YUK!

It will be interesting meeting everyone in less than a month. I find that peoples personalities show in their writing. We'll see!

I know what you mean about having little things stashed from the Disney store. I have worked there 2 years and have all sorts of things. But, I now work at a concept store that only has kids things, no adults not even souvies. I find that all I am buying is DVD's now. Well, at least I am saving more money for WDW.

4 weeks from this minute we will be leaving the Radission! I just read that they may be changing where you make ressies for Palo's. It is supposed to change today to Rockin D bar, which will make it easier if you need to change your dining room stuff since it is next door. I'm sure we will have confirmation before we leave. I'm here too. I have this board up all day at work and at home to.
I only have 1 phone line and 2 teenage girls so the computer has to fight for time. Today my 17 year old will be cheering at a football game so woo hooo more time for the computer.

I wanted to double, triple check. Our military id's be enough to check in? With those I won't need the birth certificates right? I am so paranoid about not having everything we need.

Hi Barb(2)! Welcome! I'd bring more than just the military ID's because I know how Murphy's law works! Maybe that would be a good question to post on a new thread.

I'll be checking from work if I get a chance. I'm on call this weekend and didn't get home until 11 last night! I just smile and think of the spa treatment that I'm earning. Nope, not a nurse either. I can start a good IV however, as an MRI tech.

Diana, Senior F suggested a good idea on the "How to get over post cruise depression" thread. Or maybe it was Beano ... anyway, they suggested that we start a thread for our gang here, over on the community board, and just keep in touch with each other for a bit longer. Maybe that is how we could coordinate a repeat with the same great group.

Our 10-13 cruise thread got locked a little while after we got back from our cruise. Beano started a thread on the Community Board. We all posted to it for a while, but I haven't seen the thread in a long time. We just book more cruises.

On our cruise last year, we had 3 nurses and a funeral director and a firefighter. We said if we couldn't save you, we'd send you to the funeral director.

I agree with you dudette! Let's see how many lurkers come out this weekend! I am so excited for this trip I haven't even started to pack! Right now I'm hoping for a few pounds to be shed, but being realistic here- doubt that's gonna happen. The little ones are easy to pack for. I'm still thinking about a tux for our little guy or just a cute suit. He'll be 20mo. when we go. His sister (3yrs) keeps telling me she is going to wear her Princess Aurora (beauty) to formal night. I keep telling her we'll see. We will have both of their Halloween costumes with us since we will be going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party before the cruise. The "big guy" (that's what we call the "baby") is gonna be Woody. I'll have to put his outfit on once on the cruise because we all can get a good laugh! I'm telling you it's the hat! Anyways, I always put myself off til the last minute.

Barb: Hi there! I would take another form of ID with you. I didn't think that a military ID was an acceptable form of ID. I thought it was just birth certificates, passports, or nationalization papers. I know you need either the birth ceritificate or passport on the morning of St. Thomas for immigration. I could be wrong here, But you will get the answer here on this board. Everyone takes care of everyone here!!! Glad to see our group is growing!

Welcome Barb # 2. ! Here it the scoop although you should know it if you've been lurking. Sailaway Deck 10-front I think 5PM.
Sun 2PM on the Deck 7 secret verada wine party, bring bottle of wine and munchies from room service. That is if you want to participate. Denine is collecting info on everyone (see her post a couple before this names, cabins etc) if you are interested.

RE ID: That I would take the birth certificates. Military ID will be ok for the picture ID but they seem to be very specific about needing either BC or passport. You'll see the big orange sticker when you get your docs. I will add you to the no doc list.

Sue: Hey a cast member among us!!! I do miss those discounts and park entrance & Company D etc.

Denine: LOL re funeral direct.

Shopped all day with my mom. Had to buy someting to wear to son's BIL's wedding. GOt a great jumpsuit! I will overpack and take on the cruise along with the 2 other gowns and WOW dress. Chillin' and watching Lord of the Rings tonight over friends house.
Glad to see som many here this weekend. Remember question on Monday before work. Have to figure out what to do about CO. tho. YOu guys get up the latest I think.

Anyone planning on getting the unlimited internet access on board? I will and would be happy to share (sshh!) if possible. I will email a daily report to all friends and relatives. As dudette #2 says "can't keep Bonnie away from computers."

Julie: #1 how is Garry doing? Hope he's getting around ok. # 2 a 20 month old in a tux-How Cute! Some posts awhile back talked about ordering a childs tux on the internet for something like $25. If not what about a bow tie and white shirt and dress pants?

Ahhhhhhh I'm back!!! Yesterday I posted a message under
Sweetgirl (my 14 year old login in name) Have no idea how that
came up. So I logged her out and tried to log back in. My computer at work never logges me out so I don't use my passwork hardly ever, Needless to say I had forgotten the password. I spent the rest of yesterday trying to remember my password. After many attemps here I am!!

So there is no Barb 2 just me, incognito!

That for the tips on the military id. I want to be fully prepared!


I hope this turns out ok. My 3 month old Shih Tzu keeps jumping on my key board and making my computer do weird things.

When I read Sweetgirl I thought "That sounds just like our Barb." but the I'm here too through me off. Too funny. And yes I saw the thread too on the military discount. I think they got $240 back. Active duty or Active Reserves. Too bad nothing for the "Brats" (Navy Brat here).

Chillin day. Watched Miss America instead of Lord of the Rings last night. Picked up Monster's Inc. and watched it. I love Boo! Too cute.

See how slow and lonely it is on the weekends? Everyone must have a life except me! My choice to chill at least one day on the weekend. Too many years spent running to football games and Marching Band competitions.
