The stuff I used on my cat scratches is that iodine stuff.
It is really stingy. My husbands swears by it and wants to put
it on the kids for every cut. They are on to him now when he
tells them it doesn't hurt. Now he tells us "It only stings for a minute"

Bonnie (Dudette #1) informed me of the lime green t-shirts this AM. Just wait until Joyce (Dudette #3) hears about it since she is the t-shirt preparer!

Countdown is on. Everyone needs to stay accident free, healthy & recovering rapidly!

GETTING VERY VERY EXCITED!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Ok you all caught me, I haven't read all the posts, so could someone explain to me about the lime green. Did a few of you decide to wear it or is everyone suppose to on Oct.19th?

Lori: I'm glad you got some info on your docs. I don't know if I'd be that calm if they told me 10-14 days before the cruise I'd receive them. But at least we know you'll be there. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! GREAT gorilla joke! Keep em comming.

By the way, UPS wears brown, FedEX wears a greyish blue.

30 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Julie, (and everyone) The wearing of lime green seems to have been around for a long time, long before I first found these boards. It's a way for DIS board people to recognize each other. I don't know who thought of it, but the color was a good choice. I mean, how many other passengers are likely to just happen to be wearing a lime green ribbon on their shirt or camera bag, or lime colored clothes?:p Everyone who knows the DIS boards are invited to wear it.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words in regards to my knee surgery, it meant a lot! Obviously, I'm feeling better today. Last night was sort of rough, but I think the worst is over. Now I am really looking forward to the cruise and meeting everyone!

Once again, thanks to all of you for your words of encouragement.

Garry

No Docs today :( (hopefully I won't have to wait as long as Lori though!)

At least you know now, Lori, what is up with your docs. Today, Frontier called me for the third time and changed our return flight. Honestly, it hasn't been a big deal. We have had the fortune of running into FREE park hopper passes for 10-26 so I asked Frontier if I could have the latest flight and she said that was it. I asked if I could fly home the next day (Sunday the 27th) and she said that because we were pushed back more than 4 hours that we could and not pay a penalty. We are now shopping around for a WDW on site hotel. I am so excited! Ground transportation might have to change, also.

My daughter leaves tomorrow for the Wonder. She can't wait. Instead of counting the days, she is counting the hours. Lucky girl.

Well, tomorrow is my big day. I find out what the orthopedic doctor has to say. Cross your fingers. I am not as big and brave as Garry. My GP said that he might opt for orthoscopy or wait and see kind of thing. I know that there are 3 things wrong and that's about it.

Booby Prize: It's down to Lori & Diana by the looks of it! It may be a tight race!

Julie: Lime green is the official (I guess) of the DIS. When ever anyone who posts here goes to the parks or cruise they have at least a lime green ribbon to identify them as a DIS'er.

Dudette# 3 will be happy because I bought transfer paper for the computer to iron on the lettering.

Hey Denine- will you be our official greeter as we board? Will they let you stay on the ship between the 2 cruises?

Garry happy to here you feeling better. Any Physical Therapy down the road? You'll be up and hopping soon

:bounce:

Barb- Ever try Neosporin? It doesn't sting and is greasy. I would think less drying on the face.

And yes-WE ARE NUTS! :earseek:

Barb (sorry Diana, I got ... SO confused)
My Grandma stopped using Iodine 20 years ago! Is it improved? Listen to your local RN! :p Sorry, I'm sleep deprived. I'm responding to every thread like it's an interactive soap opera. (the Pooh in pools especially)
WHEN, after this cruise, will I regain my own LIFE?
Hey Sandy? Back when you did DCL air, did they really take that long to get the docs out? Should I NOT be calm? Should I go to BED?
I'm convincing myself that the delay, for both myself and Diana, is that they are deciding on just how BIG of an upgrade to give us!
:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc So soon, so soon.
Keep an eye on me guys, I'm starting to slip!

Jiminy,

Don't worry too much about anything they might have to do to your knee. The anticipation ends up being worse than the actual operation. Here's hoping you won't need one, but don't lose too much sleep over it if you do!

DD1,

Yeah, I'm sure physical therapy will be part of my rehab. I'm not too certain how much good it actually does, but it always seems to be part of the recovery plan.

Garry, watch out for those knee braces with about 50 feet of VELCRO attached! Say NO to Morphine! (I had an ACL reconstuction and the only thing, post op, keeping me in reality, was that my knee hurt ! Everything else was a blur!) I hate drugs! Hang in there!
Sandy, an e-mail's comin'.

Susan, Paul and Turner (8).

DH and I are MAGIC maiden voyage "plank owners"! DS will be experiencing his first cruise!

October 19th will not arrive soon enough for us. We are just beginning to read this thread but hope to meet you all onboard!!

IF I'm forgetting something (highly likely) someone will certainly jump in here.........

Good morning all!

The wine party is on Sunday @ 2pm.

DD#1: We should be allowed to stay on the ship between cruises. It all depends on Customs. We won't know until the night before.

Who else wears lime green? Just about everyone in the cruise terminal, at least that's the way it was last year. One of our cruisers got an interesting look when she asked a person in a lime green shirt "DIS board?" :p

Welcome Schrolls, just e-mail me your info.

Hopefully those of you waiting for docs will get them this week. The last person on our 10-12 cruise just got theirs yesterday.

Hey! I don't have my docs. Called travel agent & was told it will be the 1st week of Oct. I thought about throwing a fit since so many of you have yours. Then I thought, if I make her mad she could hold them longer. So I just very nicely explained about the number of people that I knew had theirs. She seemed shocked that everyone is getting them so early. Did everyone book though DCL or travel agents?

Anyway, put me in the running for the prize!

Beth

Beth- I can understand your excitiment. Getting the documents is really exciting bummer yours are taking sooooo long. I booked our entire trip over the internet. 5 Days Disney prior to the cruise and the cruise, all the hotel arrangements, and shows we are seeing.

Kitty scratches are healing but I think everyone will be able to
recognize me because the one by my eye was kind of deep so it may take longer to heal.

Does anyone else feel they have a million and one things to take care of before the cruise and a limited number of days to do it?
But Wooooo Hoooooo we are almost there!

We do have our docs. They arrived last week. We booked everything through the Castaway Club.

Thanks for the summary, disney6. I will email Denine with our info.

Will probably read most of the 40+ pages with Turner when he gets home from school, not that he isn't already excited enough (but not as much as his Dad - me, too, of course).

Hi Shrolls/Susan! Welcome, welcome. WoW being on Magic's Maiden Voyage! That is SO cool!

Diana, Yes, I DO have a million things to do!

Beth, they are trying to decide on how good your upgrade will be, too!

Denine - you're kidding !!! People were wearing lime green ... when they didn't have to! I guess that makes the ribbon a more sure bet.

Sandy, what's the scoop?

Hi to everybody! Have a great day!

Lori:wave:

That's me!! I have been an avid lurker and enjoying all of the conversation. I promise to be better.

First of all:NO DOCS I booked through DVC, so that may be why I'm so late. Did anyone else book through DVC?

We are staying at the Raddisson the night before, so maybe we will see some of you the next morning running for the ship.

Been very busy working at the Disney store, since we are having the release of Monster's Inc. I hope you all got your copies.

Haven't started packing yet, I usually start about 10 hours before we leave.
:D :D :D :D

Hope you all have a great day and I think I am in the running for the booby prize.
