It has been my turn to lurk!!!!
I am very busy lately as you all know. I promise to be back to my old self soon. And very tired. I haven't even read all through the posts. My attention span is very short lately with a lot on my mind.

Ted we have unleashed you!!!!! I laugh when I read your posts and the length of them...careful that the internet police at work don't catch you! Addicting isn't it!
No, I haven't painted the ceilings yet!!! I will try to work on them tomorrow night and Friday.

Is anyone else not getting email notification of the posts? Something seems to wrong here. I wonder if it is my cookies now!

Ok who is in charge of the wine tasting chat? When is it and what time? It can't be this weekend. How about Friday the 31st? I don't care what time, just let me know!

Been trying to do my spring cleaning early. I when through my bathroom closet and threw ALOT of stuff away. Let's see, the kitchen cupboards are done, bathroom done, and one hallway closet done. This year I'm trying to get ahead of things, so we will see if I continue this pace.

Tomorrow I have a pampered chef party that I'm doing,soi won't be on until later. (about this time) So I hope there is a lot of posts to read when I get on. We have been slacking lately.

Garry's back is still bothering him quite a bit! I think that there is more to it then just a strained mussle, but who am I? They haven't done an x-ray or a MRI. I think it could be a disk problem.

On a lighter note, my father was released from the hospital and they are going to treat it at home with strong antibiotics. We will see. The infrction is still there, but they are working on it.


Still looking for recipes so keep them a'coming!

The stomach flu has hit our house. Turner was up last night sick so he will be out of school today. Paul will stay home with him is morning and I'll come home for the afternoon shift. Double time with the washing hands!!!

Bonnie - I am getting my email notices. Don't kow why you wouldn't be getting them. How did your son reply to your words to him? I hope you got his attention. I see your counter is down to 2 days!!! Keep us posted.

OK!! I did it! I have a girls night planned and I didn't even bring it up. Two of my girlfriends asked me yesterday to go to the Bon Jovi concert with them in March. I said YES!! We might even plan something for February too!! Their husbands both work in the racing profession. One works for a NASCAR team and the other does IHRA drag racing. They are both gone on weekends starting in Feb or Mar and so we may plan a wekend getaway!

WINE TASTING - Not this weekend since Denine and Jerry are still at WDW. Let's take a vote FRIDAY 1/31 or SATURDAY 2/1. Majority will rule!

I did a little spring cleaning last weekend. May even do some more this weekend.

Good for you telling your son how you felt...I think sometimes kids forget you have feelings too....maybe it will make him stop and think.

I have half my kitchen spring cleaned....I love to clean out cabinets and rearrange ....I changed the shelf things were on, but of course when Dick gets back he will have to look to find things.

I went to dinner and a movie with Barb and Tiff last night....don't know why she isn't posting except she has been busy at work and so has Patti. Guess I will have to post for both for awhile.

Garry I had some of your pain. I moved furniture and shampooed my carpet so a pain pill took care of it. Wish you could get rid of it that easy....

OK - we'll call it a beverage tasting. Since you really won't be sharing, it should be the beverage of choice!! I've never had Bailey's in hot chocolate only coffee. I may have to try that today. They are calling for 1-3 inches of snow for us and it is supposed to begin this evening. Yeah, I talked myself into it. Thanks for the idea, Laurie. I'll let you know if I like it.

Sandy - I wouldn't think of sharing Turner's stomach flu with my friends. I don't even want him to share it with me and Paul!! Wish us luck!

Sally - the flu shot doesn't help with the stomach flu only the respiratory type. I had one of those but it obviously doesn't help with bronchitis. I guess I should be thankful that I didn't have the flu with the fever, chills, body aches, etc.

Turner wants my attention so I need to go play nurse maid now. I'll check back in later.

No, not another Friday night activity!!! It was hard enough not being able to get to AIM from work, I definitely can't be drinking wine too!!! Sat. 25th or 1st work for me.

Haven't posted in awhile. Not much going on.
We got snow last night and today, so everything comes to a screeching halt.

We will be in Santa Fe during the wine tasting, but will definitely be there in "spirit" get it, spirit. Hee hee.

I'll try and plan a nice red for that night.

Julie - we tried to take Clare to Disney on Ice and it never worked out. Will try better next time.

All of the Mama Mia Groupies - I am jealous. Am trying to get a trip together to see my best friend in New York and take it in there.

Since my last post we have an inch of snow on the ground and it is still coming down. AND, Laurie, I have my hot chocolate with Bailey's!! I must say it is delightful!! I sure like seeing the snow and am very glad it is not ice this time. I hope Turner feels better tomorrow so he can go play in it. For us, you never know, this may be all we get this year!

Krista - if you go to NYC I am only about 1 hour 45 minutes away! Take me with you! Or even maybe meet for lunch.

Work has been awful! Training new hire all week and the days I am supposed to have desk time is spent training extra classes and meetings. I don't need this now. I have an interview on Tuesday within my company for supervisor of our national account dept. Wish me luck! I don't work in that area so it will be tough if others apply for it.

Julie- good luck with your pampered chef party. Very expensive stuff...don't spend too much.

February 1 sounds good to me for the wine tasting. I have found a great California Cabernet Sauvignon for those who like red wine. But they don't have any left! I bought a different one so if it doesn't get opened I will try it with you all. Although the tea tottler that I am I don't know what I will do with the rest. Give it to the ungrateful son of mine I guess. I haven't heard from him since our discussion but he has been busy.

Hi guys, Feb 1st is perfect for us. What time beverage controller, Susan?? Now I have to contemplate, wine or a "sissy" drink. Of course, sissy drinks are good for you because they are packed with a lot of vitamin C (fruit juices). Sooooo????? My beverage of choice right now is Strawberry Pina Coladas. Hey, Lori. Maybe a konch kooler. I still have your recipe! Decisions are so hard on me and thanks to Laurie, I now have plenty of choices.

Question-Julie, are you going to a pampered chef party or are you a dealer? I noticed that my Christmas gift from you came in a Pampered chef box. They have good stuff. Haven't seen a catalog in a couple of years.

Please everyone. Quit BRAGGING about snow. We need it desperately. I just heard on the news that Denver is 2 ft. short of average from Sept to now. Can you believe it 2 ft??? And that doesn't count how short we were before Sept on moisture. What we would do for a blizzard. I want to see snow one time this year! We go out and buy a 4 wheel drive and a snow blower and see what happens? The snow disappears.

Darren has become quite the socialite, hasn't he? Sounds like he is having a blast. Love your comment, Lori, about a three peat.

Better go check on Ted. He is either busy watching a movie or out cold. He gets up at 4:30am so it is hard for him to stay awake at night. Unlike Julie!!

Oh heck, today I went and scheduled the condo in the mountains for Feb 1st and 2nd. I realized that it's the last weekend from now to April that was still empty. I've GOT to get in more snowboarding. I pre-purchased 8 tickets and by-gaud I'm gonna to use them! If I had a decent laptop I could get on from there, but Nooo, my old hand-me-down went out on me. SO, I'll just have to be thinking of you all, as well. I'll be around this Saturday night ALL ALONE (whoo hooo!) I remember several people said they couldn't, but if anyone else will be around, let me know.
