We all need to get on and bug him.
He has a thread that is just taunting us.
Go get him. Off to wine-tasting hrmmmph, my foot. WE can wine taste with the best of them.

I AM SOOOO ENVIOUS OF DARREN. WHY AREN'T WE ALL WITH HIM????

I've been cleaning house since I got up this morning and havne't been on the computer until now. It's amazing what prednisone will make a person do!! Bonnie, if I could get up there I'd knock those ceilings out for you in no time!!! I've even been cleaning out drawers today ridding all of the unwanted things and things that no longer fit!!

I am feeling SOOO much better today than the last 2 months. I think I really needed the prednisone. I may really kick this thing once and for all.

Julie - thanks for the great clip art!! I just love Tinkerbell. Almost as much as Bre Rabbit!

Lori - tell us all about your MAMA MIA outing!! Hope you had a great time.

Jeanne - I was pulling for the Eagles for you last night!! I'll keep it up for you!!!

I goota go post on Darren's thread now. Talk to you all later!

Susan, thanks for the MommaMia e-card. That was just what I needed yesterday morning to start getting revved up for the night. I was out with Katie freezing my cookies off, doing the door to door Girl Scout cookie selling. Oh, and watch out for those flexoril flashbacks!

Sandy, I think they were discontinued, but maybe your daughter already has them anyway... but if you want them, I have a set of bride and groom Mickey antenna balls. I got them at the Anaheim Disneyland Warehouse last summer, and I heard that they were being DC'd. Probably just that particular style. I can't imagine them not having a bride and groom at all.

I like the idea of the guys doing recipes too. There could be a BBQ chapter just for them. Ben will submit his Grilled in-the-husk corn on the cob. It needs to soak in the husk overnight, etc.

Well, I was going to say "Welcome home Darren!!!" Although he seems to be quite at home on the ship too. I'm off to check out that thread of his. I'll pop back with an update on MommiaMia last night after that. It was really a fun night.

I can't believe Darren stayed on board! I am soooo jealous but happy for him at the same time!

to be young and child free............................... (I meant CARE free    )!!!!!!!!!!

I think I will have to send in another payment on our cruise planned for Novemebr 2003 just to feel like we are getting closer. Darren, makes it seem so simple. Back to back would be wonderfulfor uss too if we were child-free (oops, I, too, meant care-free)!!!LOL

Lori - still don't see your MommaMia update. We need the details and Pix if you have any (did you do the boa and tiara thing?).

Garry - maybe you just need to send Julie to McDonald's. The kids would then get all the happy meals they want even if you don't get all the cruise time off!!

Sandy - where are you???

Wine Tasting - should we plan a wine tasting chat some night? We could all have our own bottle and describe how it tastes and have a glass for each one on the chat. If nothing else, we would all be feeling pretty good with at least one bottle per person! Anybody interested? Remember, you're not supposed to drink alone!

How fun, a wine tasting chat. I'm in!!

O.k. Darren, if we didn't know you better we would think that you were out partying, making NEW friends, drinking wine, dancing, etc.

But, since WE know you so well, we know you are tucked away in your little beddie bye, so THAT is your excuse for not posting.

WAKE UP AND POST - WE CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE!!!!

Krista

Ok, Darren had better not of abandoned us! He will always be an October 19th cruiser! I can't wait to hear about his cruises. I wonder if he will get an interview before he goes back home. IF he does, maybe he might not be going back home! LOL

I just hope he will be on board when we do the reunion cruise. If not working, hanging out with us as passengers!

Have a great day everyone!

Let me be the first one to say:

To Tiffany Parrott

party020.gif

I hope you have a great day and celebrate with all your friends and family!

I've put on a pot of coffee and now it is time to get ready for work. Time to start a new work week. This is going to be a great week. It has to be, I feel better than I have in so long. I haven't had to take the Tussionex at bedtime in three days!! I may be able to actually function for a whole day at work! Miracles do happen. I guess I won't have to torture my Drs.

The weather is a little iffy for later in the week. They have mentioned a possible "wintery weather" event. Just don't let us get another ice storm. We still have some debris in the yard from December.

Everyone have a great day.:Pinkbounc

Sorry I haven't posted on this thread recently I've just spend the last 45 mins or so trying to catch up on my thread on the DCL board, by the way I've just done a load of posts over there so if you're interested head on over

Anyway I'd better fly, I've got to get sorted out before I go to Island Magic. I hope you are all well.

By the way....
Though you might be interested...

Last week the cruise director on board was Jackie (SP?) and the captain was Thord, but interestly enough it was all change around last Saturday and now our cruise director is Jim and our captain in Tom so it's like the October 19th Cruise all over again!!! But obviously not as good as all of you are not onboard!

I love cruise director Jim, he's so great. I got talking to him during the time when they were cleaning the ship when there was no other guests on board (just after he got back onboard), now everytime he see me he always waves and says Hi, he is cool!

That Darren.
He needs to win Who Want's to be a Mouseketeer this week, then use his free cruise for a 3-peat next week! (I'll have to run over to his thread and mention that) OK, but first...
MOMMA MIA !!!
The cast was myself, my girlfriend and her wacky older sister. We went out to a yummy Italian restaurant for dinner, I had a scrumptious artichoke/dijon salmon dish with sauteed mushrooms. We polished off a bottle of wine and headed for the lightrail train. It popped us off 2 blocks from the theater and we had to run for it. I was in a black leather dress, high black boots and fur coat. No boas, although I did see one woman in a pretty, white dress with a short double boa on. Looked very classy.
So, we climbed the several stories to our nose bleed seats, were the very last people seated before the doors closed and the show began. It was just like Laurie told me, a comedy with some cute interjections of ABBA songs. I didn't expect the twist to the story at the end either. The singing after the play was a blast. The whole cast was on stage singing the better know songs and the audience all stood, danced, did the 'finger pointed arm swing' (see that girl.....) etc., in unison. Then we just partied in the theater for a bit and headed back to the train.
Nothing TOO wild and crazy. We're not exactly at the caliber of wild womenness as Laurie and her friends, after all. LOL;)
Thanks for the idea Laurie, it was a very good night.

Now then, YES to the wine tasting online party. Too funny. I even have a new favorite 'social' wine. And it's cheap! I'll be partaking of Beringer White Merlot. It has that good merlot taste but is very smooth, and lighter.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Wow I had 4 pages to catch up.

Thanks for the Happy Birthday's to Tiffany! My baby is 15 today!!

Lori- Sounds like such a fun time at the concert. Next time!!
turns out we didn't have a party for Tiffany this weekend after all. Dang I might have been able to go.

I will do double time to make up for Patty as ordered! She is slacking. I know she talks Disney almost as much as me now. She is so excited about the next cruise. She needs to get back on the board. She was out sick Thur and Friday.

I wanna be on the cruise ship for 2 weeks like Darren!!

Had a very productive weekend. Even though Bonnie hasn’t started painting her ceiling I though I should start my Honey Do list. Did get quit a bit done. I may even beat Bonnie.

Bonnie, I do sympathize with you. Sixteen foot ceilings are high. Don’t want to be doing a lot of shaking when you are on the ladder. When I extend our ladder to its full extent it does seem to shake when Sandy is holding the ladder. I think she is probably the one that is shaking the ladder seems to nervous when I climb to the top. Especially when I stand on the step that says do not stand on this step. Bonnie I’m sure you will get someone to paint your ceiling sometime. Invite your son over for dinner and when he gets to your house then hit him up to paint before you have dinner. If he’s hungry enough he will paint.

Julie isn’t that one of the reasons to help support Home Depot by having to go back and buy more paint. It would be my luck that the color would not match and would have to paint the whole room over again. That’s why I buy more than I need.

Garry nursing your back is a rotten way to spend your two days off. Hope it gets better soon. Topic of the day. How do you keep your 13 year old neighbors kids, without harming them, off your front lawn when their parents don’t care?

Lori glad you had a good time at Mamma Mia.

Sally sorry to hear you caught a cold on the cruise. Sounds like you still got out to do some of the events. You’re a good example that even though someone isn’t feeling well it is better to be sick on a cruise then being sick at home. Must be something to do with that Disney Magic.

Happy Birthday Tiffany

Darren let me know how you do all these cruises. Glad you are having a good time.

Got to go

Hello, everyone. Had a very busy weekend that ended with me not feeling well. Doing better today. Just tired.

I am sooooo jealous of Darren. I didn't work at McDonald's like Garry and Darren but now I wished I had. He really sounds like he is having a good time. Happy for him!

Yep, Ted began his kitchen work. He even has plans to finish the bathroom, too. Can you believe it? Thanks Bonnie for the competition.

Lori, sounds like you had a great time. Did you eat at the new restaurant at Aspen Grove before heading off for the light rail? Your salmon sounded so good. Guessing that Katie didn't go. Wow, thanks for the offer for the bride/groom antenna toppers. I am sure they would LOVE it. How much would you like for them?

Susan, you are sure getting your spunk back! Can feel it in your posts. Krista, I don't think that you ever lose yours! Count us in on the wine tasting party. Why not? Sounds like fun!

Hello Diana.

Julie, I won't worry so much anymore about you sharing the recipes even if a cookbook doesn't happen. I have it in writing that you will!!!!!!!!!;) ;) :D :D

Sandy - I had my spunk back until I had to endure homework He3%@ this evening. Will I ever get through 3rd grade with Turner??? He alwasy rushed through everything and doesn't take time to follow the instructions. He's very smart he just needs to slow down and it will show in his work. I feel a little better after getting that out to someone who will listen to it. Turner doesn't seem to want to.

I am feeling so much better. I may even be able to go on posting without mentioning my health. Wouldn't that be great???

We have been working on system conversions for our latest merger at work and the last year has really been tough on our Division. We made our year-end deadlines one week early and had no outstanding issues or customer impact so we are be given this Friday afternoon off. Since we are off on Monday too, I will have an extra long weekend!!! YOOOO-HOOOO!!! This is a first for my Division. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Ted - Paul says to use a BB gun or hot pepper sauce on the grass so when the ball rolls over it and they pick t up and wipe their eyes it will burn! (From me - the Keep off the grass sign does not work!!)

Lori - glad you had a great time. I think I need a girls' night soon!! I'll have to get that in the works.

As for the wine tasting, when do you want to do it?? Let's wait for Denine and Jerry, and of course Darren to return so we can have a full house. Maybe 2/1 Groundhog Eve since it is on a Saturday? Thoughts?

Well, I'm gonna retire to the bedroom and read a little for a few quiet moments to myself. Everyone have a great day!!!

Now when you're finished with the honey do will you come here to do my ceilings? I can't use a ladder since the 16 foot ceiling is up steps!!! I must say I am not the least bit happy with my son...he seems to forget who helped with the moving and painting in their new house this summer. I don't think it will get finished... I will just blame it on him! I have been busy though. ALmost finished with everything...Anyone have a lot of junk??? My closets are taken up with junk!

SUsan glad to hear you are better. And you too Sandy! I was wondering where you were.

Glad to see everyone back. I'm up for a wine tasting together. Name the date and the time and I will be there.

Have a good evening all!

I'm exhausted!

Oh-I got the final plumbing fixed...The plumber has made his car payment for the month!
