The pumpkin pies are about to come out of the oven. Then in go the pecan pies! Can't wait to see you all this evening!

We haven't left yet so I thought I would check in on everyone. Of course, chatting without me. The cabin isn't ours. It is our DD's soon to be in laws, who also have been our friends for years. It is unreal. It is a log cabin about 3000 sq feet. It sits on top of a range and you can see for miles all around. We are very fortunate that they are willing to allow us to go up there whether they are there or not.

Bonnie, Pick up the rest of the CO crew first and then that will give me enough time to come down. Wait, I forget, everyone is headed there. Call for directions. Shouldn't be toooo hard to find. Yea, right.

Bonnie, no I don't think I've heard about a staring squirrel before, but we did have someone call because a goose was following them as they were jogging.

I've got more stories, but I'll wait for you to get here! We'll swap war stories over turkey!

It was soooo good to see you all for Thankgiving!!!! All the food was delicious,and SUe you really overdid with all the desserts!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, You were all there with me, except Mom, Barb, Patty and crew... I have no pictures of you all! I showed all the pictures from the cruise and introduced everyone to you.
14 people at dinner + e for dessert. DIL grandmother didn't make it she has a very bad cold but her grandfather was there. They are my favorites. My poor mother was like a lost soul. She isn't much of a mingler and feels overwhelmed with a lot of strangers. The food was terrific. 29# turkey!10# of mashed postatoes. My beer bread was a hit I think as was the cranberry orange loaf and Nana's apple cake. Didn't get to talk much to my son. I feel as if I don't even know him anymore. Oh well...I wish I had more than just the one child. C'est la vie.



Sandy-I guess the cabin reunion is out then. Too bad. 3000 sqaure feet! WOW!

Garry-needless to say Aunt Gin Gin the squirrel lady is looking at assisted living soon and she is only 70. Not quite right in the head. I could also share some stories having worked in an inner city ICU and doing stints in the ER.

It is FREEZING here. Glad I'm staying in. I'm even making my own coffee rather than WaWa 'cause I don't want to go out into the cold.

We stuffed ourselves dutifully, going back to Moms (my mom, not
Sally LOL) for leftovers after work today. Ben and the kids get to decorate the tree today. I did the lights last night because I'm rather picky about the cords not showing (my personal OCD). Ben hit Walmart, Target and RadioShack this morning. He's out of his mind! Came back so excited at getting the last TV. Doesn't even have the 'S' connection needed for the DVD player that he also got. "But... look at how much money I saved, honey!" He just lives for this day and I would pay someone the extra $100. just to avoid having to go out into it. He got a turkey fryer too. This should be interesting to try out. Does anyone else have one? His friend used one at his ex-fiance's parents house one Thanksgiving, and set their backyard deck on fire with it! I don't think that's why they broke up though LOL. OK, back to waiting for a patient. I'll try and catch up reading the past couple of days when I can.

Good Morning Everyone!!

Happy day after Thanksgiving. I am anxious to hear how Patty's
Thanksgiving went. Yesterday was the day they were giving their kids the first clue to the Oct 2004 cruise they are taking them on. Patty is so excited she is ready to bust wonder how she is going to hold out until Christmas which is the day they tell them about the trip. Wish I had been there!

Don't have a lot of Thanksgiving leftovers. Missy and her room mate Mari just about cleaned me out. They usually don't have much food in their apartment so I guess they decided it was a great chance to stock up.

I am trying to be thrilled to be at work today. They only good thing is I am not out spending loads of money. But I am also missing out on great bargins!

Bonnie: Why didn't you call & tell me Lancaster was cancelled? Summer & I were in K-Mart at 5 AM! Then Penney's for our free Mickey snowglobe but it was still so early we went to Franklin Mills Mall. Back in our driveway by 10:15 AM. We got some great bargains!

The hospital had a full house yesterday but emptied out rapidly so I had a really easy day. My aunt made me a platter which I "wolfed" down as soon as I got home

One week until WDW. I can't wait!!!!!!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Now start putting up those decorations and finishing that shopping & wrapping!

Just checking in. We had a really nice Thanksgiving. We left our house around 8:30 AM and didn't get home until after 8 PM. Kaleigh was terrific!
My dad was very thankful for his pecan pie. It was a surprise. It looked so good!!!!!
We had the big dinner at Jerry's parents, yum!!!!!! Jerry's mom had the cake from the baby shower that wasn't. It was so cute!!!!
Kaleigh slept about 8 hours last night. She was worn out from her shots and her 1st Thanksgiving. She looked really cute in her dress!
I have started to put up some Christmas decorations. Hopefully more to come this weekend.
I am fighting a sore throat. Hopefully it won't turn into anything.
Jerry had to work today. I didn't make it to any stores this morning. We only have the dad's to get for and Kaleigh,anyway. We did a lot of Christmas shopping in Cozumel.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Glad to see that those who have reported had a nice day.

I stayed home today! I'm like Lori! I don't like standing out in the cold and waiting in lines. I did it ONCE and only ONCE and people are just plan mean!!!!!!!!!!! The day I did it people ran, and I mean RAN over ANYTHING to get to the bargains! People grabbed and pushed and the whole nine yards! I'm just not like that. They can keep this shopping day. I'll stay home in my nice warm house and decorate for Christmas. But then again, I HATE to shop! I know I have a defected "shopping gene" ! I'm one of those woman who go to the store knowing what I want so I'm in and out of the store in no time. If I took the time to "shop" I would probably come home with a truck load, so that's why I don't.

By the way, has anyone gotten thier lists yet? I figured you would all have them by now. I hope that no later then Monday. Please let me know when you do! Well, I'm gonna continue my decorating! Be back later!

Jeanne can have her bargains. I will wait til after WDW to shop. I will have my sold back vacation pay by then and hopefully our bonus within the week (although, maybe there isn''t one since we haven't heard any rumors as to the amout. )

I hope those that had to work had an easy day of it. I do feel for you all.

Diana- I hope all is ok up there. Keep us up to date on your dad. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving even though you are in Canada?

It was interesting yesterday. We were all cordial. I don't know what we will do for Christmas. We have been invited over to DIL's aunt's house but still feel akward not really being related. Plus my mom doesn't feel comfortable with all the people she doesn't know. She is already saying next year she will fly to Boston for Thanksgiving. I guess I will take some sort of vacation
at that time. Then see what happens on Christmas.

Just home from work so I thought i'd check in. Another late shift at work and it was busy busy busy. I am really looking forward to tomorrow as it is the end of the month and as usual I get to do the full inventory where I get to count every single thing in the store down to the last salt packet, bag, cup and drop of ketchup (great!!), actually I don't mind it too much as it gets me off the floor (no running around!) and once you've done it as many times as I have I think you just get into a system.

Anyway enough of that, I'm glad to hear you all had a good Thanksgiving. I tell you I wish I could of had some of your food, I ended up just snacking all day and not really eating much at all. Usually you don't even see and reference to Thanksgiving over here but funnily enough they had a cookery program on with a special thanksgiving meal on it (interesting!)

So not long until christmas now and 2003 is just around the corner!...
