Lori - you're right. When we have our 'me' time we can say anything (and drink anything)! Our vices could be worse!

Julie - nice replacement for Dumbo. Not that I don't like Dumbo it was just shockingly bright to my eyes this morning after a long night!!

You know, I never did go back and read the whole thread from the beginning. I wonder what else I might learn about you all if I went back and read it from the beginning. I can't believe it all started back in March!! Where was I in the beginning? Maybe still in shock that we had actually booked the cruise!!

Believe me, it is NOT a self portrait! It might be Makenzie's but not mine. Dumbo was more like me....... big and friendly!

I think that I'm going to join the rest of you and have a drink tonight. We are out of bailey's so I guess I will have to go with the wine!

I hope that everyone starts feeling better! I know with this cold weather most of us are having, it might take awhile.

Laurie, I got the emails you sent me. I really enjoyed them. I must say I own a "sign" or two! LOL

The weatherman blew it again. They said we'd get 1"-3" of snow last night. Can anyone tell me why we have 8"????? Turner felt better and probably would have gone to school but not now that it is closed. Even I don't have to go in this morning!! My office is saying to report at noon but they will update at 10:00 and may not open at all. Oh, how the south shuts down with snow!!! Glad I have my Bailey's on hand!! I'll have one for you today, Julie!

NO SCHOOL TODAY!!!!

Well is is 5 below zero and 45 degrees below zero with the wind chill, so they have cancelled schools. Since I had already decided to call in sick, now I have Nurse Kristen to stay home and "take care" of me!! I hope I get some rest.......I just may have to bribe her.

Wow, no school and work. How lucky!!! Your newsman must have left us for you Susan. 1-3" never means that!!! At least Turner will have one more day to get to feeling better. And Kristen can see if nursing will be her call in life. A very educational day, right, Laurie? Hope you feel better soon, Laurie. Your Baileys and hot chocolate certainly can't do any harm. Ahhh, go ahead. It would be medicinal in the fact that it warms you.

I guess Lori doesn't want to drive that dump truck for the snow after all. She didn't even volunteer. It would have been fun!

. At least we drink from bottles and glasses. There is a family here (no names) that doesn't always use them. You know who you are!!!!!

Ted and I each got a new winter coat last night. We bought 100.00 coats for 20.00 at American Eagle. Not bad!!!!

The Jeep got it's oil change in preparation for the Pocono trip. We are only going from Friday to Monday night since my daughter & my future daughter-in-law both have work on Tuesday.

Sandy: I love American Eagle. What a bargain both you & Ted got!

I refuse to get sick! All our PTO is lumped together so if you get sick it cuts into your vacation days - so forget it! I am NOT getting sick!

We are still freezing here in New Jersey and I am hoping for snow in the Poconos in Pennsylvanis this weekend. That would be a really great surprise.

What a night I had. I was suppose to pick my husband up at the airport at l0 and it was so foggy they sent them to Denver and bussed them down. I had left home a little after 9 and had to scrap ice off the window...no snow, just fog and cold.

I stayed at the airport and waited for him and he got in little after l..then we stopped at the new Walmart that opened yesterday to get milk and when I finally got to bed it was 2:45.

They had to bus 6 or 7 bus loads down and all flights were canceled but I heard a plane fly over this morning so things must be back to normal. Still cold but no snow and the sun is shinning.

Yea, Sandy had me thinking about that. I really love driving big trucks. The only thing that could make it more fun (other than the company, of course) would be if there was some ice on the road, too. With Sandy's excellent direction and leadership, Barb and I could just shovel to our little hearts' content. Umm hummm, Sandy and her great ideas. Hey, a bulldozer could be driven with a bad back, right?
I know, wait for it to be melted, then we'll pull a Thelma and Louise (and Barb) and just highjack a tanker truck, run over to someplace with a FULL reservoir, fill 'er up and bring it back to my yard to water. All under the cover of darkness, on a nice warm spring night. Do tanker truck come in convertibles?

Sue: I am sorry to hear you had 8" of snow, but it was my idea, so Sandy, Lori and Barb have to come to my house. It is currently snowing and blowing and bone chilling cold. Calgon, take me away.

My little Ollie is a bundle of nerves, or so the vet says. He is pulling all his fur out and creating bald patches and also scratching around his head. He did this last winter, just not as severe. She gave him a shot of cortisone and will call back in a week. If he is still doing it, she will put him on a "behavior drug". I am guessing xanax, an anti-anxiety drug. He is so laid back on the outside.

Kaleigh goes for her 4 month shots today. I may need the Bailey's tonight!

I was going to say something else, but now I can't remember what. Oh well!

just for the record -- Toronto is NOT that much further north than Racine, WI!!!!!!!!

Yes, it is bitter bitter cold here. Temps are still below zero and we are getting some snow. School is very rarely closed here. Two years ago they called it off for 1 day (of course there was OVER 3 FEET of snow!) and people about flipped out!!!! They could see no reason whatsoever to call off school! I wanted to shout "have you looked outside lately?" We had an Expedition at the time and it was over the tires -- our Little Tykes house in the backyard you could just see the top of the roof. It really was kinda cool. We do have some neat pictures that we of course sent to all Greg's relatives in Florida!!!!

Lia went to school today! Yea!

P.S. Didn't y'all stock up on the cheap cheap Bailey's in St. Maarten? WE DID!!!!!!!!!!
