Calling all fellow July 2012 peeps!! We recently had to switch our dates from Feb 2012 to July 2012 due to DH work schedule, but oh well - WE'RE STILL GOING BACK TO DISNEY!!!

Since we've got awhile to go now (347 days to be exact) I figured I will go ahead and call on all other planners to get together and get excited about our upcoming trips!!

We just got back two weeks ago and we are already planning July '12. Count me in as well!!!

We will be there in July 2012, end of month.

We are thinking during the last 2weeks of July.

DD wants to be at WDW on her birthday which is July 24!

We haven't booked yet because we are DVC and we need our 7 month window because we won't be staying at our home resort this time.

We plan on 4 days 3 nights at Vero Beach Resort and 8 days 7 nights at Old Key West!

We are in..... CBR July 14th - July 22nd. We have asked for the same room as this past July (Martinique).

To All Diser's - I have met in person and to all I have communicated over the Dis Board.

My DD11 received a letter from People To People Student Ambassador Programs inviting her to study in Australia in 2012. WOW !!! what a super nice invitation. She was excited, yet apprehensive.

I asked my DD what she thought. Midori said to me - "Would you be able to come with me?, I have never been apart from you more than the time at school and play dates with friends. I told her that we would have to research the program a lttile further and attend the meeting on Saturday, September 10th.

Midori went online to research the program and thought it was a great opportunity to travel more and experience other cultures. I don't know if you remember our history together - Durning Midori's early years, I took off from work for 4 years to be with her and to insure a solid foundation to our relationship as DD and Father. we have traveled abroad many times and frequently travel to Japan to vist our family since I am a Japanese National.

I personally would not be able to survive a separation for any length of time so yes I would HAVE to go with her. NO QUESTION about that. I will up-date all of you on this invitation after we attend the meeting on September 10th.

Just got back from 6 days 5 nights at BWV, and we are planning on going back next July. Actually we upgraded our tickets to annual passes before we left, so the commitment has been made. Not sure where to stay. Probably VWL", AKLL, or OKW.

Well, we've got quite a few July folks!
Of all of you who are going, have you been in July before? How bad is it? We usually go in fall/winter, so the thought of the heat is a bit daunting, but if that's the only negative...it's still Disney!

We went in July 2004 and the heat honestly wasn't as bad as our October 2009 trip!

Well, that's good to hear!!! It's really the only thing I'm worried about. The good thing about summer is not having to work around school days, which allows us to stay longer than our normal trip!

Our time period is 7/17-7/25, which is classified as Value Season 2 - does this mean I should be able to expect smaller crowds? That would be NICE!!

Shamelessly bumping this thread!!! Because July 2012 seems SO FAR AWAY!!!
What do you do to pass the time? I've never booked this far in advance before, so it really seems like an eternity. I can't even made ADR's until January!!!

Yup...our ADR days is January 10th! I'm trying to lose weight before the trip so that is keeping me busy, plus I'm still working on our scrapbook from our 2010 trip....

Ha! Our ADR date is 1/18/12, which is 1 day after my DH will be leaving for a work trip until 3/3/12. I told him we need to have ADR's solidified before he leaves...he just said to make sure Le Cellier and Biergarten are on the list and then he could care less!! I am also going to try to lose some weight before our trip....I figure in July it would be really nice to just wear some cute sundresses, so I gotta lose a bit before I attempt that feat...maybe some would help!!!

Our trip is a family trip that originally started out with 13 people...now we're down to 10. There are 4 of us making the decisions as to what ADRs I make but so far we have a pretty solid plan. We wanted to do Ohana on our last night but I've heard that they change their menu frequently so I want to see what they're offering come January before I pin that one down.

And now I'm sitting here looking at the Cake Chatter thread...NOT helping my weight loss ambitions
