--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, I just finished reading through all 18 pages of messages. I see LOTS of mention of boys and LOTS of mention of them being around the 9-11 age range. Doesn't ANYONE have a girl going that I can try to hook up my boy crazy DD10 with?

GSCM Disney Scout,

We are a large group (about 70) coming from No VA .... There are tons of girls.....from 3 to 17. Gretchen is 9, Elise is 9 and Erin is 9....Gretchen loves to e-mail friends before a cruise, so if you send me her e-mail or IM after Christmas, or whenever you are going to tell her.....they can meet. These 3 are boy crazy too

I work for Corporate Express...regoinal headquarters is in Hanover right off of Route 100. I have to go there about 1 time a quarter.

Glad you decided to cruise,
Lisa

Kim & Barb-

Looks like the boys should watch out - sounds like the 9-10 year old girls are going to rule the ship :goodvibes

Riley (DD age 9) is looking forward to meeting everyone - we will have to set up a meet!

Sara

Hi Sara-My dd Alexa is happy about the boy to girl ratio. She said it is "raining boys!" :umbrella: :umbrella: :umbrella:    We have a guaranteed cabin. Does anyone have their room assignment yet? We are soooo excited. ~Barb~

Morning All - We are in 7638, all the way aft! DM, Jeanne, uses a wheel chair and the accessible cabin is best for us.

I would be glad to set up a roster with screen names, cabin numbers, early or late seating and first names. I can bring copies to pass around at the sail away party. Anyone interested please pm me.

Sue

If anyone wants to PM my there DD8 to DD13 IM or e-mail my Annie (DD12) and Gretchen (DD9) love to tell others about our 6 other Disney cruises.....they have almost as much fun talking about it before as we do on the ship!!! We are excited. Ok I looked though our group and this is how is specs out

4 years old - 1
5 years old - 1
6 years old - 1

Morning Lisa,

I had started a teens cruise meet so the kids could talk. So far there hasn't been much activity, but it is open if your girls are interested...

Another vote for this one.

GREAT ONE!!! :cool1: :cheer2:

25 spaces and characters total on each side...so it would have to be 2 sided.

"The DIS Rocks the Magic" on one side, and 1/28/06 on the other...

That has 4 big votes...(changing my vote, cause I'm loving that one too  )... :disrocks:

Hi Lisa- :wave2: My dd Alexa would love to talk w/your girls. She's 12 (13 in March) and into Girls Scouts, dancing, poms and of course boys  I tried to send a private message to you with our family e-mail address but it won't allow me instead saying I haven't posted enough yet?? If you can send me a private message w/your e-mail address I will have Alexa respond. Thanks! ~Barb~

Yeah Girl Scouts! I'm a full time volunteer, about to become full time staff with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland - GSCM ;-). I think GS needs a fun patch for Diney cruises. ;-)

DD will know about the cruise in one week, but we're going to Savannah over Christmas holidays to see Juliette Low's birthplace, etc. so she won't be able to start e-mailing until December 31st.

I'm sure she would love to chat with other girls. I was assuming the teen message board was for 13+, so I was planning to keep my DD 10 off of it. I think it would be great to start a message board for the pre-teens or something. That way they can all talk to each other at once. Thoughts?

Still waiting for my Passporter Disney Cruise book to come in the mail. Amazon said it wasn't going to come until possibly February, so I called up ready to cancel it and it said it had already shipped. I just had to approve an extension for it and I had been told it would definately not be here before Christmas. It should get here tomorrow.

Getting REALLY excited!

Kim

Hi Kim-Once she knows Alexa would love to email her. Our other dd is 3 and Alexa would love nothing more than to "ditch" her if you know what I mean!! :rotfl: She loves girl scouts and a Disney patch would be cool. Sounds like the girls would have alot to talk about. Good luck on the book...I checked out our library and they don't have it...I've learned some great tips through here though! When your dd knows pm me and I will give you our e-mail address. ~Barb~

Barb,

I can help with your DD 3 too! My youngest DD will turn 3 just before the cruise! Can't wait, can't wait, for a very important date!

;-)

Kim

We are traveling with a Childless couple and another couple with 2 boys.. 3 & 5 years old..

See Everyone on the Ship !!

PS... we all have 830 pm dinner..

We just booked the Auto Train! :cool1: This will be the first time for us. We have been batting this idea around for months. Should be interesting. After we arrive, we will be driving to Sun City, which is south of Tampa, for a few days, then over to the ship. :moped:

Wow, is it really only a month and a week? :hourglass :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Morning All - Hey, another 1st timer on the Auto Train! Did you book the coach seats or get a sleeper? I am still agonizing over that. Sticking with the coach til we see what it is like.

Sue

Morning!! Coming home on Autotrain.Booked a sleeper because of my toddler, but I prefer to be in coach. I get motion sick laying down from all the swap and sway. Hoping the lower level will be a little less active. I still love the train though. Maybe well see you on the return 2/4/06 :wave2:

Well, I checked the website and there is a price change. Figures... I have a few orders I can put in using the anniversary price...The new cost is $1.75/band (for 100 or more) $1.95 for less than 100, up from the $1.00 promo price. Should I wait till the original 12/26 deadline, or just order the bands for the folks that have already given their count, and then order the other ones at the higher rate? This is still the lowest cost for the fewest bands that I could find, most are a 200 count minimum, and some are 500. If anyone has a different company with a better price for the few bands we need, this one will match it. Not sure how to move on this one...any advice?

Anyway, here is the reply and the message I sent:

"Deborah,

The sale ended last night at midnight. The sale end date was posted on the
website Monday the 19th. We can extend the price through Friday the 23rd.

Thanks

I am planning on putting in an order after Christmas. Our group has
based everything on the anniversary pricing. Today when I went to the site,
I don't see that price reflected. The new prices are $1.75 per band. Could
you please tell me when the promotion ended, and if there is any way we
could still receive the anniversary rate?

I have to report back to the group as to why the cost has changed. This
will be an order of about 200 bands. Thanks so much!

Kim-Is your youngest dd totally into the princess thing and all of the dresses? princess: I need to bring a separate suitcase for her "stuff". It would be alot of fun to get them together...she is so excited. Joanne fabrics had a foamy make your own Cinderella princess purse that has a blank notebook inside it. She is using this for her autograph book. It is soooo cute. Cheap too! Under $5.00. It's pretty bad when your 3 year old has more to pack than you do!!!! Getting excited too....~Barb~

Deb - The price change doesn't matter to me. My vote is go with the original plan.

It is almost time to get excited!

Sue

Yes, Ilea (DD3) is definately into all of the princesses. I remember when my DD10 was 4 and I was trying to have a Disney Princess b-day party for her then. I ended up buying Esmerelda napkins, an Ariel pinata, made a Cinderella cake, etc. About a year later the Disney Princess line showed up. I wonder if it had already been in the works when I asked at the Disney store.

Ilea's going to have a great b-day week. Her b-day is January 22nd. We see Beauty and the Beast on stage on the 24th and follow that up with the cruise. She's getting 4 Disney Princess dresses for Christmas, so she'll be all set.

I look forward to meeting everyone in a little over a month! I can't wait to get my kids involved in the planning and pre-cruise e-mails!
