ROL - Worth it??

It seems to get some hate, but I was pleasantly surprised with the show. I used the Rivers of Light Dining Package and got a good seat. I will definitely do so again in November.

To avoid the hard rock benches, sit higher up in the theater. It won't diminish your enjoyment of the show to sit a bit further away.

Thanks to Robo for his maps early on that explained the seating.

I loved the show and think it's at least worth checking out. Eating at Tusker House is always a good move too. It's one of the best in-park restaurants on property! I can see no reason not to give it a try.

I saw it,and I liked it,very pretty! I don't know what you're asking, should you waste an FP on it,or should you go to AK at all? I wouldn't waste an fp on anything I can see(even partially blocked) without a worry. If you're doing AK anyway that day,I assume you're trying for RD FoP? I'd guess that's youre best bet to get on the ride with less waits.

Since youre already there, take the opportunity to see ROL. And dont give up on that FOP fastpass. Keep trying!

We have Tusker House reservations, like I said. :) They come with FPs for the show. I was asking if it's worth it or should we do something else.

We caught about half of a show in the standing room section one night in October and thought it was pretty cool. We are planning on doing a TH ROL package in August so we can see the whole thing in good seats. As many have said: It is definitely worth checking out if you have the time.

Is it harder to get the seats in the back because of this? Or do people naturally gravitate to the front? Thanks!

I saw it in September and loved it. When I go next month I have a ROL dining package for lunch at Tusker House to see it again. "Worth it" is subjective though.

I enjoyed it and would like to see it again, but I usually get done with AK early in the day and don’t feel like waiting around. The first time I saw it I didn’t go into the park until about 4:00pm, so I may have to do that again. It is a totally different kind of show and I recommend everyone see it once to make up their own mind.

For those who have seen it and the Tapestry parades from 2000-2002, how does it compare live?

I don’t think that Tapestry was much to see on video, but seeing it live was special and the music was awesome.

Is the dinner at Tusker house any good? Then I don't mind the ROL package. But if dinner and the show might be bad, I would rather skip it.

If there is no line AND you have done everything else AND you aren't too tired AND you have a Mickey Bar AND a glass of wine in hand....I'd still consider doing something else. We paid extra for the Tusker House preferred seating and we still would have left if we weren't hemmed in by families with babies on their laps.

Wow! That doesn’t sound much for a show. My kids love Rainforest Cafe (I know some people hate it and it’s a chain) so I was trying to do something different. Yet it cannot be too different because my teens are not risk takers. I too am looking for a meat free or seafood options because it will be lent and a Friday. So, I thought tusker house might be good. But we have a 4:45 in April and that is pretty early to eat sometimes.

We love Tusker House. Several vegetarian or fish options for Lent. Several options for people who aren’t adventurous eaters. Lots of dessert. My teens love it. One adventurous and one not. We just didn’t like ROL. Wished we had taken the opportunity to see Pandora at night and have a look at Na’vi with short wait.

I didn't love it, but I'm probably biased by the fact that it was really crowded when we saw it and DH was just done while trying to get out after. It's not a bad show, but if it's a choice between ROL and FOP, I'd definitely choose FOP.
