I am debating whether we should go to Tusker House with the ROL dining package or Boma instead... has Rivers of Light seating been full each night or is there usually room without a fastpass or dining package seating?

Saturday night, second show 1/3 of Standby was completely empty. You could have walked up and sat down.

But the show was added week of so not really sure how it will shake out once the schedule is more set and known.

Dining package you'll be fine. If not, FP will be your next best.

If it's standby, when we saw it last weekend, standby was full about 75 min prior to showtime

Wow! Glad we got the dining package. In the summer the show is at 9:00 and it only lists one. I wonder if they will add another one

No one knows for sure what will happen, but I would hazard a guess that there may well be 2nd shows added during the busy summer months.

I'm hoping that's the case. The dining package for 5 is way more than I'd like to spend and it would be nice to keep our 3rd FP open for our morning park. Though, I'll do what's necessary since I really want to see it.

We will be visiting in August, and very much want to see ROL. There is absolutely no way I am paying for a dining package, but I'm also not willing to gamble the standby line, so I'm hoping to get an FP+ for it.

We are visiting in August as well and agree with you Tomh! I guess I will be on the computer as soon as possible! Does the 60 day FP work just like the dining schedule- once you hit the first day of your trip, you can get FP for your entire trip?
Thanks!

Yes.

So start with the most desirable FP on the latest day of your trip that you will be in a specific park.

Just be aware that even with the package you need to show up early. We did it on March 4th and got there 55 minutes before showtime. A lot more than half of the dining package section was already full! They also aggressively have you move down the rows to fit more people in about three or four times so don't plan on staying in the middle of a row if no one is around you. They actually fill up every available space-not just talk about it-Lol.

I definitely wouldn't try standby. We saw it 3/9 (one show, 7:15) with FP, and they started letting FP people in around 6:00. By 6:30-6:40, the standby seating section was full and they clearly weren't letting anyone else in. I have no idea what time those people lined up, but I did hear someone complaining after that they were in line and were turned away. FWIW, the FP area didn't fill in until after 7:00.
