Crowd calendars (and common sense) suggest that Jan 3-7 will be super crowded. Don't know if AK will have one or two showings of RoL. I don't want to tie up a FP since w only have 1 AK day planned but am willing to pay for a dining package if that will give us a good view without having to wait in line for 1+ hours. Do you think the RoL dining package is worth the cost considering the view you get and the line standing you avoid?

I can tell you in 6 weeks. we have it reserved for our visit on 14/8

It was the only way that I considered seeing RoL. I am not a fan of AK. I think they hit the African theming just right - because I when I am there I think I feel just as I would in the real Africa - it's hot, boring and I want out!

We did the dining package (Tusker House) in March when it was just me and one of my daughters. We spent the extra time in between the meal and the show at the air conditioned bar attached to Tiffins. We did almost the same thing in May when it was me, my husband and my other daughter (our reservation was a bit later - so there was no bar time). I only went the second time because my husband didn't want to go alone.

I would say - that for me - it is the only way to do RoL. I would not block out an entire day of Fast Passes for it. I don't want to do anything else in that park.

I don't think there are any bad seats in the viewing area. We walked up around 15 minutes before the show on both of the nights we saw it. It was definitely the way to go for me. Money well spent.

Before these two trips, the last time that I went to AK was 18 years ago. We have been to Disney World over 20 times during those 18 years. I plan on possibly going back to AK in another 18 years.

We did RoL dining package with Tiffins. It's the only way we'll do RoL again. I'll not that RoL was nice but probably not something we'll go out of our way for. The RoL dining package at Tiffins is a steal. For $67 I got the $53 Waygu beef entree plus a $14 appetizer and a dessert. It was definitely cheaper to eat there that way. We do also love Tiffins because it's not your typical theme park food, though we're disappointed they've changed the menu so it's not quite as different (I miss their head cheese! Sooo yummy!)
