Rofr

Had a hard time with the link because it got cut off in the post. I searched the net and found it though. Will repost it and hopefully it works for everyone:

Good info!

I stumbled upon this today.

I know ROFR can vary depending on if the contract is loaded or stripped but some of this info surprised me. Especially how cheaply some of the SSR contracts made it through.

Hoping to get myself one of these low cost contracts :thumbsup2

Do not rely too heavily on these numbers when getting your hopes up for a cheap price. We just went through this process in the past 3 weeks. We made an offer at OKW for a contract with 230 pts for $65/pt. It only took 4 days for it to fail ROFR. We then made an offer at OKW for a contract with 220 points at $70/pt and it passed in 2 days. The numbers listed are somewhat incomplete because we were told that in the past 30 days almost 75% of offers in the low category were not passing. We used Jaki and **** for our agents. They were wonderful but they can not find a rhyme or reason for the sudden flux of refusals. it will be interesting to see if you can get through at SSR at a lower cost. Good luck.

That is actually a very interesting link! I suppose that ROFR doesn't mean diddly squat to a seller, since either way you're going to get the price you agreed to?

Interesting! So it sounds like Disney has decided to get more aggressive about propping up the resale prices for OKW and SSR.

If that's the case, I am sure glad that we were able to get our $60 OKW contract through last several weeks ago. Also do make not that the site that was cited above, the data is a month old, and it hasn't been updated here recently. Our contract went through them after 4/20 which is the last dates that they are showing.

I think Disney just likes to have some contracts at every resort available. At least, that was the way the discussion went with my guide when I talked to him yesterday. So some of the older resorts may still get bought back so that they always have some points on hand at all the resorts.
