ROFR Thread Oct to Dec 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Today I received an incredible surprise when my BLT points loaded- an extra 150 points from 2024! This is a December UY and for 24/25/26 I thought I was buying 0/215/150 points... but I just received 150/215/150! No mention of these in the contract, but I'm not going to ask questions 😂 The only problem is these points are banked in from 2023 so I have about 55 days to use them.

I'll repost the deal using intentionally broken formatting so that it doesn't get picked up and duplicated:

$115 | $18668 | 150 | BLT | Dec-150/24, 215/25, 150/26 | only pay MF on 75pts | sent 8/11, passed 8/27

Maybe this is heresy but I think my deal was accidentally in @Jimmy Geppetto territory!
(looks it up) It was close, but his BLT deal was clearly better. How does he do it?
Absolutely amazing!

I didn't see myself ever buying a 2042 resort but seriously just love Boardwalk. And after having DVC since 2018 buy where you want to stay. (I have sold 2 resorts that didn't work for us and which I didn't love). Thanks to everyone on here; without this I would have had zero idea of what to even offer on this contract.

Congrats! Welcome Home

Have you been to VB? I feel like HH is going to be similar to VB in how its run
I have.... VB at least has a restaurant, HHI does not...

HHI rooms have fireplaces though...

Also HHI is more built up than VB... in Vero Beach all the good restaurants are in private country clubs... The Tides and a couple others are notable exceptions....

Wind & Waves is a mediocre restaurant that charges Citricos prices, but is one of the best restaurants in VB...

Do they all have fireplaces? That would be really nice. Not a wind and waves fan at all, but i did enjoy their desserts and key lime stuffed Mickey waffles. Im hoping HHI at least has quick service

HHI does have Quick service - 2 of them - one on the beach and one at the resort. Both have limited hours. HHI also does not have a spa, whereas VB does have a spa. HHI is not on the ocean, you have to take a trolley to get there. That is a pro or a con. I believe there are pools both at the resort proper as well as at the ocean...

For whatever reason, Disney wanted to build a DVC property at HHI... The original location they wanted, which would have been in many ways better than what they ended up with was blocked by the local community. Rather than abandon HHI, they built the resort they now have...

After the "experiment" of VB and HHI DVC abandoned their original plan to create a national timeshare network - and pulled the plug on projects in NYC, Newport CA, and Colorado... It is a shame... with those three more properties, plus Aulani... it would have really made DVC an even better program in my view...

Disneyland Paris has some timeshares operated by Marriott, but to my knowledge DVC never seriously planned on operating those... I could be mistaken...
