I'm waiting for Q1 to Q2 2023 to see how things are with CCV ROFR before I decide to dance with the ROFR lady. I'd love a stripped contract there for 150ish a point.

Someone needs to tell DVC that (re:current economic environment), since they're raising direct prices in a couple days!
 
It's crazy that they are working through ROFR from over 5 weeks ago. I wonder if they'll play catch up this week. Did someone say they go through a period in December where they don't process ROFR at all because of processing dues statements?

This goes to show that Disney holds all the cards. Before VGF2, it was easily selling for $200+ resale because VGF was once a small boutique resort. Then they add 200 more rooms by converting an existing hotel building and it totally dragged down its resale value. If gives me pause that Disney can do this to ANY resort if they feel that they’re hotels struggle on the cash side. Many people would love to see this happen at Yacht Club. But it would come at the expense of BCV owners.

I think the VGF resale price will bounce back up in a year or two when VGF2 sells out, so in the long run the current price will have been a short term blip.

Just plug in all of the relevant data and post the resulting string in its entirety.

*PLEASE join me in giving huge props to @ScubaCat who worked to develop this super useful tool!!!

If you would like to double-check your entries after using the tool, just know that I need your username at the front and all data in the following order:

DISname---Price per point-Total cost (Price per point x # of points + Maintenance Fees to be paid at closing + Closing fees)-# of points-Home resort-Use Year-# of points available first year (banked or not),# of points current year, # of points following year, and year after that, followed by Date Sent for ROFR.


Please include any other details such as whether the seller is splitting closing or paying current year's MFs. We assume that the buyer pays current year MF and closing, so no need to add those details in writing, only to the total amount.

Then come back and post whether you passed or not using the tool again so that your completed string looks like the sample below. Or I will chase you down! Just kidding. But, in the spirit of helping everyone who uses this thread as a resource, please do let us know whether or not Disney waived your contract so that the data is complete. Please do not simply post that you passed, as I cannot comb through the thread to find your contract.

I am beginning to feel like I may have overpaid! I suppose it doesn't matter in the end as long as I love the vacation.. is the justification I will use to buy another contract if the cheap points do come 🤣. I did get promoted today at work so I am very tempted to add on somewhere in the next year or so, it seems like a great time in the market
