ROFR Thread July to Sept 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

That's such a interesting amount of points. Did they have a favorite week at a Grand Villa or something?
Lol! I have no idea but we were totally wondering the same thing. It's a strange number and it's also the only contract we have outside our normal use year. That being said the larger sized contract worked for us as we wanted a bunch more points at crescent lake and a bigger contract equals lower closing costs per point.

I have a contract that is 153 points, another that is 38, another that is 205. All strange ones 😂

I was able to get a great deal on my BCV 101 point contract. I think some people are thrown off by oddball numbers…but it’s rare that anybody uses exactly 100/150/200 anyway.
I’ve considered if I ever buy direct I will buy an odd number of points on each contract to distinguish them from my resale contracts more easily.

Ohhh wait I completely forgot I also have odd numbers that I bought direct and chose to do that myself. The others above were all resale.

I don't know why, but I have such an aversion to any contract that isn't an increment of 25 or 50 - and, even then, I seem to have a preference for 50 point increments. It just seems so much cleaner to say I have 100, 150, 200, etc. point contract than say a 160 or 163 point contract. I know I shouldn't care, but my eyes just naturally gravitate towards them.

Makes perfect sense. 163 feels cluttered.. if that makes sense.

barrbarr25---$105-$42695-400-AUL-Feb-0/24, 0/25, 0/26, 400/27-subsidized- sent 6/30

The seller included a $3,043 credit for 2026 dues, so our total comes out to just under $40,000 for now. I had really been holding out for a subsidized contract, but ultimately decided to pull the trigger. It’s a stripped contract, but since we don’t need points for 2026, we’re fine waiting—or borrowing if needed. Like AstroBlasters said, ‘I sometimes worry the ROFR thread is bad for people’s mental health!’ That really resonated with me—there’s always the temptation to wait for a ‘perfect’ deal. But we liked the Use Year, the point total worked for us, and the price felt fair, so we went for it.
