We loved it. It was our first no theme park stay at DLR and we are big fans of doing this from time to time.
Shhhhhh don't give away the secret about how great the Garden Rooms are lol We want everyone to keep hating on the TOT taxWe had good luck doing a walk up to Trader Sam’s as we were just hanging out at the pool. We didn’t try for the class but if you are doing a resort stay and get over there early I’m guessing your luck will be good.
Staying in a garden studio just pushed me into the strong positive in the want more VDH points in the next X years mode. I’m going to start to monitor how easy those are to book at 7 months and such. It’s kind of like a cool room + a cabana in one…. And not having to pay for a cabana at DH because it’s built into your room….
I’m hopeful for VDH under 120 in a few years but if direct is a good deal or if other direct points can get the room on a regular frequency then perhaps that will lower the urge
I just may start doing this since day trips to the parks are so expensive and DVC thinks us DL people don't deserve a break on Magic Key. We can do both the character meals and satisfy our need to see the gang while there.

haha yeah June and Feb. I absolutely refuse to take on another use year even though 2 works out just fine. No but really glad you got that accepted! I just find it so funny that I was offering exactly that price! It's like we just have an intuition about these things after a while lol. I wouldn't have even written anything if I hadn't had the whole form filled out and everything. I just chuckled out loud when I saw it. Also don't think I didn't throw that in my wife's face to show her how wrong she was for teasing me about the offer!
Resort only at DLR? I can't imagine, just doesn't seem as doable as WDW, how long?
How do you find these price sheets? I am always wishing I knew where they were.

I travel down to LA from time to time and will add on an extra day if a DVC room is available (fly out day before instead first flight of the day). With an Inspire Pass and the hotel reservation calendar, I never worry about blackout and the extra cost is minimal (minus the merch I bring home for the fam).
