Disney could get through these WAY quicker than they do. It is just lame that they leave us waiting. It seems like we are up to 6/18 but that was on July 9th that we got that update. We have not gone past 6/18 from the updates I have seen... and it is now a week later!

This is one of the ways Disney is trying to incentive you to go direct.

If Disney was just as fast with resales as they are with direct then there would be even less reasons to go direct.

No kidding. I got a week into waiting and was already thinking "this is why we did direct last time" because I remembered the stress of resale!

Just wait til your deed records and you spent all that money and officially OWN it but you have to wait almost a month to see your membership online.

There is not a “business reason” for them to invest in the additional labor and technology needed to speed up resale transactions.

Their priority is making sure that direct customers get their membership numbers setup and points loaded ASAP.

Oh I have been through this resale rodeo a couple of times now. The whole process is something. Looking back just a few weeks ago, it seemed like Disney was processing them pretty quickly. This week of no updates makes me nervous for how long they are going to take!

I suspect what we are seeing is a slight delay in the turn around after taking a few days off for the 4th of July holiday. They probably approve/deny, then it sits in a pile for a week... so last week still got put out, but now there's a delay for people to take a few days off work, and the flow will resume later this week.

*edit* Nevermind this is the one im selling, sorry, my bad.

I have an irrational desire to own BLT points...not sure why. I love the other monorail resorts and the Crescent Lake ones so much and I absolutely detest the Contemporary's interior. I've never stepped foot in BLT proper. I've seen the room walkthroughs and they're nothing special but again...I really want to own at BLT! I don't understand it but I need a contract there! I just have this feeling they're going to blow that refurb out of the water. And as much as I hate the Contemporary with it's 70's concrete bomb shelter chic vibe, I'm strangely drawn to it. Also SH71 has become our new favorite restaurant. Yeah I'm gonna need a smallish contract for sure...now to wait for the perfect one.
Haha, same. I just had to have it.

Lesson definitely learned, though I want to convince DH to go direct next round, as both Poly tower and the new lounge at MK are singing my tune. (I know, I know, two MK area resorts isn't the best move...)
Unless that’s where you want to be.!! ;)

I am having the very same irrational BLT desire. Bid on a couple lately but never got to the magic number with a motivated seller. I am convinced the refurb will make me love the rooms and the property. Just a monorail junkie I guess. Good luck with the BLT point search.
I had it in my head I wanted CCV over BLT, because I don’t like the tower style, but the right amount of points in the right UY came along and something just hit me and I had to have it. lol

Anyone with a contract sent to Disney for ROFR on 6/21 hear anything yet???!!!! I’m getting anxious over here!!! :)
Same 6/21.

I had planned to buy direct, but saving a little $$ would be better. I wish I would have purchased months ago!

The Poly is my family's favorite resort, and I love the idea of having two bedrooms instead of two to three studios. I wish they would just release the point charts already!
Is seller paying for 2024 dues and/ or closing?

$166x150=$24,900
$1441 additional cost for ?

not my contract but dues for PVB are $8.23/pt and there are 150 pts =1234.50 for 2024 dues

I thought when you are making your link that you were supposed to put the TOTAL cost including dues and closing costs, but you can tell by many posts that they are not doing that and so you have to do the math.

in my case, the seller paid 2024 dues (114 pts) and I paid closing and so my total was the cost of the contract plus closing.

Can/Does Disney ROFR Aulani Subsidized?
Technically they could, do they? No. I think there may have been like ONE subsidized Aulani contract ever that was ROFR'd but don't quote me on that.

Disney doesn't like to buy actively selling resorts let alone Aulani which has been selling forever, but I think a dirt cheap subsidized Aulani would be tempting even for them.

Also listed 2- 50pt contracts of 2042 resorts on Saturday. One sold Sunday and other on Monday at full asking price.

I wanted to extend my expiration date and get value from 2042 resorts before it went down.

I was wondering if maybe the whole Aulani debacle made so they would have to resell it as a subsidized contract which I wouldn’t think they could do.

I don’t think they’d want the additional Aulani points to sell, at any price. Maybe I’m mistaken but I don’t get the impression that Aulani is sold out year round, so any points they have pose a haircut.
