And no, I don't know why it took so long. My strong suspicion is that the broker didn't send it until I asked for a status update three weeks in, but that's just a hunch.
I’m 99% sure that happened to mine too. I sent an email asking when it would be submitted, they cheerfully told me they were submitting that day in fact, then 2 weeks later I got an automated email saying it had been submitted. 🤔
 
I have an irrational desire to own BLT points...not sure why. I love the other monorail resorts and the Crescent Lake ones so much and I absolutely detest the Contemporary's interior. I've never stepped foot in BLT proper. I've seen the room walkthroughs and they're nothing special but again...I really want to own at BLT! I don't understand it but I need a contract there! I just have this feeling they're going to blow that refurb out of the water. And as much as I hate the Contemporary with it's 70's concrete bomb shelter chic vibe, I'm strangely drawn to it. Also SH71 has become our new favorite restaurant. Yeah I'm gonna need a smallish contract for sure...now to wait for the perfect one.
We were always really turned off by the Contemporary until we stayed there. Once we were bunkered into our concrete tomb we actually enjoyed the feel and had a great stay.

🤞on this one. The total cost on this reflects a $200 closing cost credit that Dvcresalemarket.com was kind enough to give us after the FIRPTA nightmare we had with the international sellers on last VGF we tried to buy (Thank you Andy!!)

Sellers can't close until after 10/12/24
 
Anyone with a contract sent to Disney for ROFR on 6/21 hear anything yet???!!!! I’m getting anxious over here!!! :)

I tried to pitch my wife on some cheapo OKW points last month and she very wisely reminded me that I don’t want any more DVC points until I have a laundry room on the main floor. An opinion that is definitely mine and not hers.
 
Congrats BrianLo! Just curious, did you ever find out why the ROFR process took so long?

No idea. I started to have my suspicions something was done incorrectly and it was submitted a second time without informing me. But based on that I was suspecting the resubmission occurred around July 2nd and then ultimately it was approved faster than I expected.

Both the broker and the title company independently told me on June 5th it had been just submitted without me asking. The one time I asked the broker responded lightening quick.

Probably something wasn't disclosed, since it was unusual compared to almost everyone else, but here we are. Still waiting on closing documents. As long as these sellers actually submit their documents in like under 4 weeks, I'm still probably better off than last time.
