NOTE: I originally posted my offer here using an incorrect format (thanks for the guidance, fellow DVC family!). My contract has 2023 points banked for 2024, but I listed them as 2023. I'm learning! For record-keeping, my original posting here was:

The akl contracts are so frustrating. I'm trying not to get my hopes up at all. From what I've seen, contacts like the one I put an offer on get snapped

My passed AKL took longer than others that got taken, so it taking longer ended up being good luck for me.

I’m curious — on both of your CCV contracts (congrats on passion this one!!), you’re only paying points + $690, which I assume is closing costs. Did seller agree to pay maintenance fees for 2025 on both? Or did you just not include those amounts?

My contract is loaded no points as of yet. Almost to the finish line. Had another issue... new documents sent by mail still have not arrived. So I became weary about the dues check. Now the title company is saying no the dues check wasnt in there that they were only paying transfer fee by wire. So why are we sending documents by mail? Fingers crossed all dues are paid and all points are there once this is all finalized.

I would not recommend using Fidelity National Title https://www.fntic.com/ (not to be confused with the broker Fidelity who sells resale contracts)

Thanks for actually saying who the title company was, I think it's important to help each other when we share our experiences and give the full picture so others can get something out of it and proceed with caution

luckily mines are on same use year even though it's not the most ideal use year, after huge internal fight I think August would probably have been better but i just don't know anything at this point.

no regrets though, i'm used to timeshares (since 2019) and I can always use my other timeshares to trade into DVC as a cheaper alternative so totally fine with me

could it be because you bought from someone other than https://www.fidelityrealestate.com/ and you don't have all these junk fees to worry about?

I guess I'm fine with mine because they run concurrently together for 10 months. So long as I bank one by July and the other my September if we use them together for May travel, the extra juggling doesn't really bother me. Now we will see if I feel this way when I actually do it lol but we are planning to go twice a year so it can be treated seperately as well. We also discussed that AKV would be a great resort for Christmas visits although that wasn't what we originally had in mind, we love the holidays and would be very happy going the beginning of December on the AKV contract. So now I'm excited, but trying not to get too excited because of ROFR. After seeing your post, I'm excited again!
