Too good a price to miss out on......
Not at $115k![]()
I saw this contract pop up on Friday, and I made an offer. I made it slightly lower than this offer, since I bought a different BLT contract on 1/22. One thing I will give the broker credit for is that she did not try to get me to counter with a higher offer and start a bidding war, as it seems some have been complaining about. She just told me she had better offers, so kudos to them. And congrats on this contract! I think it's a great price for the points!jksung5295---$125-$10881-75-BLT-Jun-0/24, 75/25, 75/26- sent 1/29
I would say i'm an accidental DVC owner (if this passes ROFR). I only made this offer Monday afternoon fully not expecting them to accept it. They actually did counter at $130 and i said "thanks but no thanks" and she got back right away (in like 20 minutes) said they will accept the original offer. I'm pretty sure your offer help to set the expectation for the current owner on where the going rate is.I saw this contract pop up on Friday, and I made an offer. Fantastic! It worked out well for everyone, and in all honesty, I didn't need to spend the extra cash the same month I'm buying the other, but I got caught up in the excitement.I would say i'm an accidental DVC owner (if this passes ROFR). Been debating if i'm doing the right thing but have owned other timeshares before (not Disney) and our kids love Disney and 1BR that we have been exchanged into (BRV, OKW, AKV) with Interval.
Whoah! this is $30-$50 per point below market. I didn't realize that brokers would even entertain offers that far below market. I learned something today.ShaneDJ---$110-$23779-200-BLT-Mar-0/24, 126/25, 200/26- sent 1/29

Across all resale broker sites, there are currently 7 listings of 200 points contracts ranging from $130-$152 per point, so for that point range, you are right, it's not $30-$50 below market, but I still think $20-$42 per point off of list is pretty awesome! Like I said, I didn't realize that brokers would accept offers $20 per point or more off of list on a 200 point contract. I haven't been following these boards in years, so it is helpful for me to know what to ask for on future contracts. Congrats to the buyer on the great deal!Is it $30-$50 below market?
It’s a fair price for the contract and BLT in general is a VERY good value vs other resorts, but it’s a larger contract and there are no 2024 points and it is partially stripped of 2025 points.
I realize that, I have sold contracts before. But, they absolutely have an influence on the process and advise sellers on if they think an offer is fair, etc.Brokers don't accept (or reject) anything---at least, not unless they are also the owner who is selling.
Sellers do.
I think most expect 90-95% of list price depending on how long it has been on the market for larger contracts.I realize that, I have sold contracts before. But, they absolutely have an influence on the process and advise sellers on if they think an offer is fair, etc.
OK, so this is a 131 point contract that went for 110 that still had 2025 points, 83.9%, so this would be a very good deal then. I'm happy for the buyer, like I said, I've been watching BLT, and this just looked a good bit lower than anything I've seen out there. I plan on buying another contract within a year, so if 16% off is regularly accepted, I just wanted to know, so I can offer accordingly.I think most expect 90-95% of list price depending on how long it has been on the market for larger contracts.
You are right about that. They surely do!hey absolutely have an influence on the process and advise sellers on if they think an offer is fair, etc.
