No doubt. Of course there’s always a risk, which is why no lake swimming is permitted. We’ve never had a gator jump out at us while walking on a paved pedestrian pathway around any WDW lake, or spotted any at the edge of Bay Lake while in a Copper Creek cabin. I just don’t understand the original post. They’re probably referring to Gators.
I was only referring to the bolded part kayaking.Huh? Truly, am not understanding you. What’s so hard to fathom? We love walking from MK to Grand Flo along the Seven Seas Lagoon, bicycling around Crescent Lake, taking a boat we rented at Grand Flo to and back from Bay Lake, walking around Hour Glass Lake when we stay at Riviera, etc, etc. In FLORIDA! We’re not swimming in them.
And the Kayaking at Ft. Wilderness is super fun. We do it every trip.
Right… Of course gators!!! lolThey’re probably referring to Gators.
It was a joke about gators, sorry you missed it.No doubt. Of course there’s always a risk, which is why no lake swimming is permitted. Indeed.Lots of nice discussion, but maybe get back on track?
My kids are obsessed with the churros and you’re right, they’re fantastic. I’m a vegetarian and was a little surprised the cali parks didn’t have better vegetarian options than WDW. Maybe just because there are more restaurants to choose from in FL. Or maybe I just had much higher expectations for CA so I set the bar too high. Either way, I loved the CA parks and would prefer to take our trips there for several reason but we are in the northeast/mid Atlantic so FL travel is easier and cheaper for us. Hope to come back within 2 years.Let’s simplify this…. where would you rather order a churro?
I'm very comfortable keeping RIV as it's own separate contract/UY. I think we just DVC differently. Everything we've purchased has a specific trip/purpose, so when we add on that won't change for us. I'm not sure we'll ever be in a place where we own enough points to start combining them for larger accommodations or longer trips. That's the great thing about the product, everyone can use it how it works best for them.Except if you want to buy more RIV points (direct or resale) now you’re locked into that new UY.
Or if you buy Yacht Club DVC in the future…. do you put them in your normal UY or the RIV UY because those could be used at RIV….
It’s just not worth it.
The 500 pointer?*Watches thread carefully to see if anyone here got the AUL-S JUN contract that popped up a few days ago*![]()
Nope. Went to 'offer accepted' so quickly there wasn't even a dvcforless.com alert for it.The 500 pointer?
Are you even able to create an alert for subsidized?Nope. Went to 'offer accepted' so quickly there wasn't even a dvcforless.com alert for it.

No. Though @rferrar1 has expressed an intent to add subsidized info in the future. Are you even able to create an alert for subsidized?
Gotcha. I've been watching the aggregator for AULs and hadn't seen the one you mentioned, but apparently I might have to resort to your tactics if I want to catch a good one that's not stripped! No. Though @rferrar1 has expressed an intent to add subsidized info in the future.
The way I look for them on dvcforless.com is I have alerts setup for AUL + UYs that interest me, with no star ranking filter. Then as the alerts come in, if there's an unusually high $/pt, I check it out manually.
The contract in question never generated an alert, so someone must have been stalking the broker's site (like I was, lol).

This is soooo true, I find it takes at least 7 nites at WDW and around 3-4 nights at DLP/DCA to stop focusing on rides and start to relax into simply the vibe (with a few favorite and random rides thrown in). Even with an Annual Pass at DLP/DCA, I find it hard not to focus on "getting on rides" - to slow down to feel and see the sights, and enjoy some of the side things you can enjoy.I promise you, someday if you book 4 nights at DLand it will totally settle into a vacation vibe.
Day 1 and 2 is getting the “need to ride” attractions out of your system…. then after that it slows waaaay down. Drinks at Trader Sam’s….. more drawn out dinner at Napa Rose or Carthay…. it just starts to hit differently…
I did see it, & thought "wow that's a nice one" but it was gone before i would have had time to process the info to inquire about it. lolThe contract in question never generated an alert, so someone must have been stalking the broker's site (like I was, lol).
That's a solid price. What were they originally asking for that $/pt?Georgia Disney Pops---$122-$13992-100-CCV@WL-Oct-0/23, 0/24, 100/25, 100/26- sent 3/7
Out of curiosity, what was the point total and list price of this? And available points?*Watches thread carefully to see if anyone here got the AUL-S JUN contract that popped up a few days ago*![]()
