im starting to worry about this one. The seller had good rankings on ebay but when i looked up the real name of the company and their escrow company, there were multiple complaints on the BBB about them. They did take a deposit with my AMEX card, so im thinking that offers some protection. Their contract had them listed as the owner and no existing contract number.when i call them i only get a recording. If this gets approved, I would like to offer a job to you to negotiate all of my future DVC Resale Purchases...
Best of luck
Just got word today direct from Disney that this one passed ROFR on March 17
Yay! CONGRATULATIONSPaGran- $90-$10,350-115-SSR-Sept-115/15,115/16,115/17-sent 2/22, passed 3/15
If they are financing, they'll need to get papers notarizedWhat papers did you have to have notarized? The only thing that should need to be notarized is the deed. Unless there is some requirement for international buyers (if you are one)? None of my 4 contracts that I purchased resale were notarized. The one thing is the certified bank check. Also, recent brokers have not required UPS/FedEx shipping, so all went out regular mail, which of course, can take longer, but perhaps almost the same length of time if you have to get to a UPS/FedEx facility.
Well, come on in and join the fun thenOkay, I'm a new kid here, but I want to play!

Were they the same ones you bid on the SSR one from? If I were you, I would look at the "if it looks too good to be true..." adage and pull out while I still could on this one.im starting to worry about this one. Disney notified you directly? I've never heard of that happening before. Normally it's the broker who notifies the buyer/seller that the contract has passed ROFR. How exactly did Disney notify you (phone call, email, letter in the mail)? I'm just curious because it's not the norm in my experience and because you seem to have some concerns about the company you are dealing with on this contract.Just got word today direct from Disney that this one passed ROFR on March 17
UPDATE: Day 30 of ROFR Disney informed the broker that the seller updated their title at some point to add a second person to the title. The second person needs to be added to the contract and then it needs to be resubmitted for ROFR....
Has anyone had that happen and if so did they end up passing on your contract? I'm just wondering if they would have already made a decision, and if they were going to take it they would just bump me out now and just make the corrections with the seller themselves?
