@Add-On-Itis Honestly, I haven't given BWV views a thought yet! DH and I are tiptoeing around with our fingers crossed right now just hoping that we get through ROFR. I haven't let myself start dreaming about booking yet.

While we love staying at GF, we also love being on Crescent Lake and soaking in the boardwalk vibe. Walking to both Epcot and HS is also amazing! We would be happy at either BW or BC...we love both a ton. But, it was exciting to land on a contract that just made sense for us and it happened to be BW. We have only stayed in resort view rooms, so a Boardwalk view would be so much fun!! Do you have any other BW recommendations??

Boardwalk views are amazing, as well as Garden/Pool I’d request a courtyard view or river (not sure what they’d call that back there, the waterway to DHS)

It was tough to part with that contract. They are (were) grandfathered blue card points. But we bought a 175 pt CCV contract and the proceeds of the VGC sale will cover that purchase completely.

Ooffff, that hurts.

If I had VGC points that I had purchased pretty darn cheap so that they could be grandfathered in… I just don’t ever see myself letting go of those. The cost to buyback in is just too expensive.

For those anxiously awaiting the arrival of their points, here is my update:
2/2 received email with deed and was told Disney would take it from there;
throughout the day on 2/14 received ALL of the Disney emails so I could set up my account and received my points and booked my first stay in November.
5 nights Jambo studio savanna view Nov 15-20!! That is 9 months out and thrilled that there was availability for the length of the stay. Makes me very secure in my choice about purchasing AKV. Hoping that it is close enough to the end of the refurb that we might get an updated room and hoping to hit a MVMCP night. Fingers crossed!

That's the plan - just worried about timing with an August UY, but a lot of other pieces have to fall in line before I even get that far.

I forget where I read about someone else requesting to bank some points to the next year as part of their offer; either here or Reddit. I just made a note with the offer - something like "$136/point - request that the seller banks any remaining 2025 points to August 2026". The broker got back to me quickly that the seller was agreeable to the request and she just had to wait for confirmation from them that the points had been moved; it took about a day and then we moved on with the contract/ROFR process.

If the banking deadline is close to when the contract would close then all you do is request that points be banked prior to contract signing.
