Crazy to think, but possibly true... I've been tracking prices for a few months now and just when I think this is bottom, it drops more. Ultimately, I'm happy with what I got, but it's definitely making me hold off from adding more...

Unless someone thinks a) ROFR is taking a brief pause and will resume, b) the macro environment will improve, or c) they have to have points for a near-term trip… I wouldn’t buy right now. Nobody is guarding the gates of ROFR and the near-term outlook for the economy isn’t great. Then again, it’s an emotional purchase and I might yolo purchase a 2042 so don’t listen to me

I guess demand for direct must be low with all the passes. So to make up for it, DVC just increased the OTU point purchase price to $22 per point. Gotta make money somehow.

I honestly think you are going to see resale at the 2017-2018 pricing ( some are already there or close to it) and my reasoning is that the penned up demand and "extra cash" from the lock down is gone and all the resorts are now 5 to 6 years closer to their expiration dates along with peoples dissatisfaction with disney in general. DVC keeps drifting closer to being like any other timeshare.

Since this isn't anything I've looked at doing, I'm curious - was there any advance notice of the change, or was this a poof overnight thing? It may only be $3PP but it's still a 16% increase. Would be nice if my pay would increase that much, magically overnight

I wanted a contract to book for an August trip. I have a cashed trip booked but hope to be able to have my contract finalized by May to book something in August and cancel my cash reservation.

I am looking for a 100 point contract at one of 5 resorts.

That will give us 280 points which will allow a 1 bedroom for a week 90% of the weeks/resorts I am interested in.

I love this lol. I've been counting every day.

I wonder if it is an electronic file that is sent in the moment they tell you it is sent. Or is it some paper file that gets sent through the mail.

And if it is electronic, how many do they do a day? Or do they just do whatever many from 2 weeks ago. So could be one day or 10 a day.

Not that any of this matters...but I just would love to know the process lol. Obviously what they buy back vs what they don't nobody can explain.

Nope, just out of the blue.

There's discussion on the Member Services board. The most surprising comment to me is the number of members who don’t get emails about Moonlight Magic or Tron previews or other fun stuff but did get this one.
