ROFR Thread April to June 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

Seems like VGF is a waste of time right now unless it’s an international seller. Some of the listing sites do not make it easy to find those.
I had a similar consideration for VGC, I thought to myself “wow, pretty reasonable price but even if I could get it down $5-10pp to make it a great price I’m just teeing it up for Disney.”

Meanwhile, I had thought about selling a VGF contract with ROFR providing some price support, but then realized that so many contracts in the mid 160s to 170s seem to be languishing on the market. Has anybody seen this before, where DVC is ROFRing at a price point that just freezes up the market?

I thought the same about VGF contracts. There are a few I’m interested in, but then I think that any I make an offer on will likely be ROFRd, so I haven’t bothered (I’m looking at high $150s). It is kind of freezing the market up as quite a few are just sat there in the 160s

Just curious. What difference does an international seller have for ROFR purposes?
International sellers are subject to FIRPTA tax on the sale of DVC. It’s generally suspected that contracts sold by international sellers pass rofr more easily because of the tax paperwork implications. At least, that’s my basic understanding. Others may have a better understanding of the details.

Missed this for a few days, but nope this one wasn't international
As someone who was open to buying VGC direct (if I could get my UY and 2024 points), I wonder if they are having trouble selling VGC to people at current prices without even getting 2024 UY points? They kept telling me I needed a new early UY and then had to buy at least 100 points (which they sometimes didn’t even have) because it would be a new membership.

Has anybody passed ROFR with 2024 UY points below $250 lately?

The two contracts that I had ROFR in April and March only had 2025 UY Points (they were at $225 w/ 250points and $230 w/ 270 points). BUT it's possible they've had a harder time selling those points than they originally guessed. I would not be surprised if they get a lot of interest in VGC from their VDH marketing pipeline, but they've had a difficult time closing those due to the high cost per point

Yes, but the Points were banked and it was an international seller. I'm completely puzzled by the level of ROFR activity and so little contracts available for direct purchase. It's making me wonder what is happening to all those contracts.
(A little conspiracy theory for @AstroBlasters ) maybe they're taking some points out of circulation so they can redo the bathrooms ;)
