i might be crazy or stupid or combination of both. I was NOT planning on buying anything at all... but they accepted at a price I couldn't refuse for a contract i wanted (small, June, at BLT).

Stripped sucks but ChatGPT told me it's okay (and have a plan of attack through Spring break next year without these points).

FINALLY! After 3 long months of waiting (!!!), we finally passed ROFR at BRV!!! Woohoohooo!!

I tried to update this on the January-March thread, but it's closed to new posts now. So -- TWELVE WEEKS after it was "sent to Disney for ROFR" (after contacting the realtor for 6 weeks they finally claimed Disney "lost" the file. It took another month after that. We'll never know what really happened, but... this one was stressful!) But now -- we're almost there!!!

Congrats neighbor! that is a lonnnng wait...almost there and hope all goes well from here on out!

We bought our BRV contract in 2023, but not having our first stay there until this Fall! Looking forward to it for sure!

We bought one in 2023 and got it for $55 per point 100 point December UY and it was a fully loaded contract, which I thought was a great deal. I just happen to see a heck of a deal on one, but missed out on it. So now we are looking at another 100 point fully loaded. I know the dues are higher, but on my last one, my break even on dues verses paying up front for more expensive points was 10 years. I will take my savings up front. And yes, I know the dues go up every year. We are happily enjoying our vacations though and keep adding on!

I'm only on day 19 and it feels like day 50. I think part of it is that my previous contract was taken back by Disney. So, I've been waiting for a lot longer. I've already decided that if this one is taken back, I'm going to treat myself to a small direct contract so that I can feel like I got something.

Which resort are you waiting on? I saw someone passed akv this week. My broker told me each resort has a different timeline. They were passing SSR's with a send off date of 4/18 last week, mine was sent 4/21 and the 19th and 20th was a weekend so I was really expecting to hear by today

Are you going for vgc again? Yes you have been waiting longer, i know how you feel because my international Baylake took foreverrrr and people that sent to ROFR a month after were closing and i was still waiting for them to find a notary it was awful.

If they take this from me i wouldn't have a choice but to try again and wait, direct is not in the budget yet and 150 points i could afford wont get me the trips i need coming up, but it would actually really affect me because I would be short two days for an upcoming trip and potentially not close in time to have 7 month access to a planned february trip so i would be very sad but of course not the end of the world
