I mean, where do you put them? Barefoot bay? And why?

Lots of terrible things can happen. A meteor could hit the resort wiping us all out. But, some things are more likely than others.
Totally agree, but I think expansion via further Caribbean Beach Resort cannibalization is more likely. Meteors are less probable now that Dinosaur is being removed from AK! :)

International Seller. popcorn::

Did it list that it was International or did you find out after you placed an offer?

I was specifically looking for June to add to my VGC points in that UY, so I’m not sure about later months. He is really good at looking for and grabbing VGC points, and I like having a guide at DLR since we’re locals. Let me know if you’d like his info! I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post his card 😬

I'd love his info. We aren't currently looking for any direct points (too pricey for me) but when we were considering it in the past, our guide wasn't very helpful in keeping an eye out for VGC points at all. He just kept pushing VDH and being kind of judgey about our resale.

I bet their outlook has changed now that they are getting some VGC points to sell.

Maybe. We were thinking before that we'd want 50 more points and that direct would be similar in price to resale.

But now I think we want to wait a little longer and get closer to 100 points. Not sure I can stomach the direct price for that many points though. Especially since 100 wouldn't get us any direct benefits.

If they ever run a VGC special… you’ll have to jump on it!

Is that something that could ever even happen?

Realistically, we won't be able to afford more points until maybe 2027, at this rate. So who knows what anything will look like then. I suspect VGC resale will be more than the $235 I paid in 2023 though. 😢

Find a new guide. You shouldn't be tied to someone who cant/wont help you how you need them to.

Direct made a jump in price and might jump in price again, so keep that in mind. Resale.. nobody knows.

I would suspect so, but who knows.

The more Disneyland FWD actually happens the more valuable the contracts will be.

But…. maybe you guys end up liking VDH and end up getting some direct points there at a lower ppp than even VGC resale…. and direct discounts!

Yeah, I've convinced my husband to check it out in December. But the lack of 1-bedrooms gives me pause, for sure. Since the main reason we want more points is so we can always stay in a 1-br.

I know that VDH is studio heavy, but then again at most resorts 1BR are usually the last to fill up. Do the 1BRs book up before the studios at VDH unlike at most other resorts?

I guess it makes sense for them to make new resorts heavy on the studios since that is normally what books first. And maybe they think even more so at Disneyland since I would think the average stay would be shorter than the average stay at WDW? So less need for the bigger rooms and washer/dryer/full kitchen perhaps.

I will send you his info! Literally months/over a year had passed since I chatted with him once in the DVC office next to VGC, and he actually kept track of my request for that long! Definitely earned our business!

I would highly, highly recommend staying at VDH before making a purchase there… We did the Member preview during opening weekend and knew immediately it wasn’t for us which was super disappointing since we initially thought we’d buy as we watched it being built (we’re local).

Fast forward to a couple weekends ago, and I grabbed a last minute cancellation so that we could sleep while the teens stayed out until park closing and not have them out driving on their own super late. I hated it so much more than I thought I would. Some of my hates are nitpicky, but others are weird physical reactions to the actual building. So weird but definitely a one and done stay for me. My youngest said it wasn’t as bad as she expected though, so you never know… YMMV but it’s strictly VGC for us!
