I saw that today too, curious as well!I am wondering what is the difference between SAP (SSR) and SAP+ (BLT)? I've seen discussions of these but never dug deep what made BLT the +
Since we just passed rofr for more BLT points I can speak to our situation. We bought initially when BLt went on sale so it makes sense for us to add on there to secure a larger accommodation/ 7-8 night stay. We love the larger villa size and extra bath, as well as monorail location. However, we adore the Poly and Epcot resorts and will try and switch out at 7 months most times if we can. But, if we have extended family we keep the BLT 2 bedroom bc of the third bathroom.I am wondering what is the difference between SAP (SSR) and SAP+ (BLT)? SAP is points at a resort you don't really want to stay at. SAP+ is points that generally come cheap that you will use to book other resorts other than your home resort but you also would like to stay at your home resort too.I am wondering what is the difference between SAP (SSR) and SAP+ (BLT)? I guess all of my points are a SAP in some form lolSAP is points at a resort you don't really want to stay at. SAP+ is points that generally come cheap that you will use to book other resorts other than your home resort but you also would like to stay at your home resort too.
For me my SAP is CCV.
My SAP+ is AUL

Ahh, congrats! This Friday will be 22 days for my very first resale contract. Hoping I get good news like you! I'm a bit anxious cause the contract has banked 2023 points that need to be used by end of July. Hoping I can find something to book and at least rent out!Just received the email we passed rofr!! Well--don't mean to offend any SSR lovers--but I think the SAP / SSR designation is mostly for people who never stay at SSR and are looking for the most economical deal for seven month points. And the SAP+ at BLT I've always taken to mean two things: some of these people would be more willing to actually stay at BLT and use them (+) at the eleven month mark from time to time and also the contract time (+) is a little longer. Dues are similar. But the cost for BLT is around $130 now, compared to $90-95 for SSR, though if you shop around maybe you can do better. So you need to think if either of those pluses is worth another $35 per point.I am wondering what is the difference between SAP (SSR) and SAP+ (BLT)? This is it. I feel like SSR has dropped more and BLT has risen (a bit) more since I started buying BLT, to the point that I’d take a strong look at SSR. I think it may now be the better bargain.Well--don't mean to offend any SSR lovers--but I think the SAP / SSR designation is mostly for people who never stay at SSR and are looking for the most economical deal for seven month points. SSR is a hard deal to pass when shopping for resale nowThis is it. I feel like SSR has dropped more and BLT has risen (a bit) more since I started buying BLT, to the point that I’d take a strong look at SSR. I think it may now be the better bargain.
But I don’t really want to stay at SSR; the design and lawn manicuring reminds me of my upscale suburban upbringing and my teenage ennui.
BLT though…walk to the Magic Kingdom, big 1 and 2 bedrooms…that’s nice!

Warren buffet evolved over time from buying things that were cheap to buying things that are quality at a reasonable price. To me, in order for it to have the +, it should have at least a somewhat desirable home resort priority but also you don't feel the need to always stay at your home resort.
This excludes SSR for sure, OKW has too much availability and it's dues are too high to be considered SAP.
CCV, BLT and maybe even AUL subsidized are pretty much the prime examples of SAP+. They can all be difficult to get depending on the time frame but still are a good value. CCV has the entire holiday season, BLT has July 4th and NYE and you can argue fall/holiday season for MVMCP/MNSSHP. AUL is very difficult during the summer in general.
Personally, thats why I'll never own SSR even though it is quite a good deal, I'd rather spend the money diversifying my portfolio and giving myself more chances at 11 months though I can certainly understand why people do buy it purely for value.
Have the people who hate on SSR stayed at SSR? It was our first stay because it was all that was left and it was fantastic, we loved it so much. Got our new contract as SAP but also because we would be very happy there. To me, in order for it to have the +, it should have at least a somewhat desirable home resort priority but also you don't feel the need to always stay at your home resort.
