Hello - If you have purchased DVC resale recently, can you tell me how long from when your contract was sent to disney for ROFR until you got a decision? Thanks!!

We have seen Disney be timely recently in ROFR decisions. The contracts we have been selling at The Timeshare Store, Inc.® have had answers back from Disney in 14 - 21 days from the date they were submitted. Just remember, Disney can take up to 30 days to come back with that decision.

Missy, on the ROFR thread, we have seen reports anywhere from the full 30 days (mostly during the April backup this year) to less than a week.

Is there any pattern to it being faster if it makes it through or if it takes longer they buy it back or anything like that?

During April, of course that was when I purchased, they were in the process of moving their office. At that time it was taking nearly the full 30 days. Lately though the time frame seems to be anywhere form 10 - 20 days. Did you sign a contract? If so, I wish you lots of good vibes!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hi Missycj96,
You ask if there is any pattern to Right of First Refusal. There is not. I have seen properties that were waived take the same amount of time as properties that were bought back.

I have seen properties take a full 30 days to be waived and the same time for a property to be purchased back. I have seen a property purchased back in several days and a property waived in the same amount of time.

There really is no rhyme or reason for Disney and Right of First Refusal. It is all a process that takes a lot of patience.

If you are in the process of purchasing a property good luck on a fast decision and if you purchase in the future sending pixie dust your way.
