ROFR done! We are closing soon!

We passed the ROFR and are closing on our resale package as first-time owners at BWV in about 2 weeks!!! It was our anniversary present to each other and I can't wait to start using it!!! I just wish we had vacation time sooner than late next spring to do a 'trial run', but I guess good things come to those who wait...

Thanks to those who helped answer questions along the way...this has been in our minds for about 3 years, and we finally are doing it and feel great about it!!!

For all of you that were recently approved - how many days did it take and for which resort? I'd just like to get an idea of how long I'll be waiting. Today is day 12 for me with a BWV resale and no news.

We are buying a resale at VWL. Our broker took the contract to Disney on July 17. She called us with the good news on July 31, exactly two weeks later. Now we're just waiting for the closing.

John, I've read about quite a few going at least 3 weeks lately. So, just wanted to make sure that everyone was patient because I know that I was getting rather anxious waiting for mine to go through.

Thanks all for your well wishes! Our resale took about 3 weeks until we heard about our ROFR. I had a long talk with the salesperson I bought it from (we actually had another resale fall through prior to that with another resale company. It wasn't due to ROFR, but there were issues that one of the two owners on the title (husb/wife?) wouldn't sign off on the sale (divorce?). Anways, I spoke to the other resale agent as well. They seem to think it isn't the location of the resale that matters, but the price. They felt more comfortable with a sale occuring if your price is over $70 per point and better yet when the price was closer to $72 per point or more, but they have seen large packages snapped up as well as small at various resorts. BTW, our resale was at BWV also. I don't know if that helps at all, but good luck to those of you waiting!

Congrat. I just cleared ROFR too and am waiting for the paperwork to be executed. My resale offer was accepted by the seller on 7/4 and I heard that Disney did not exercise on 7/27. The points are OKW
