RoFR back??

But, I still want to see more than three to say there wasn't something unique about these specific contracts that made them take them because TBH, they really were not that low...
It is it only 3, or are there more that The World of DVC is unaware of? Every other resales metric that WODVC publishes in an article is based on their retail arm (DVC Resale Market) only.

Yes, these are just what they have which is why I said I would like to see or hear of more…meaning from other brokers having things taken as well.

I can get onboard with the unit assumptions here. This has always been a minor driver in certain buyback scenarios.
I’ve always felt unit numbers played a heavy role in ROFR. Sure, they have a ton of points at any given resort right now, but they could be comprised of a bunch of small groups of points from disparate units. Even if they can’t put ROFR’d points back in circulation quickly, they may want to grab just a few more points from a specific unit so they can bundle enough points in case the potential 250-300 (or more) direct customer comes along.

Aggressive pricing as in more discounts or higher prices? Because I think the incentives have been good between the outright discounts and the magical beginnings. IMO, it has been a form of corrective to pricing that was rising too quickly. So I would hope to see this level of incentives continue (or even improve in benefit of buyers).

I think we will continue to see strong incentives.

I do think they want VGF sold out by the time they start FW cabins and Poly tower sales and I think the sales data for July makes that goal possible if they keep the push going.

@Sandisw

I did ask two resellers that I know about this. I'm not posting their names or places of business. But one was one of the other bigger resellers. Neither has seen ROFR buy backs, at least not yet. My sense is that Fidelity moves a lot of contracts. If anyone knows a reseller there, I'd be very curious if they've had any disney buybacks this week?? Fidelity would be the other place that I'd watch, also because I'm pretty sure a lot of very low-priced contracts move through there. They're basically a huge timeshare clearing house for many different players.

Maybe a fellow disboarder will be the unfortunate one that posts their "Taken" string in the ROFR Thread.......??

Fidelity also has a blog that I think they’d update if they got one.

Get a Bosch. One of the slightly higher end ones. Our 800-series hasn't had a single issue in the 7 years we have had it, it's literally whisper quiet, and the third rack can't be beat (also exists in Miele d/w's)
That was precisely the one she had recommended for me :) Appreciate the endorsement!
Now, on to the next contract!

Many thanks to @pkrieger2287 for the follow up information.

I was surprised to hear the ROFR at VGF happened on the original properties. That is not what I would have suspected. Given their glut of AKV points it is surprising to me that those resorts were part of it but not say, BWV or BCV, where I could see a bigger interest pool.

I still feel like 3 is too few to tell if there is a pattern, and for now there are still sales that we see on the Disboards that have been at lower without ROFR....

It's all very interesting.

She wants Bosch - it’s already waiting for me in the virtual shopping cart :)

I’ve been out of the game for a long time but I did sell appliances for many years when I was a kitchen designer. Bosch appliances had high marks for being quiet but also were silly for not having the automatic grinder/disposals that many of the high end USA designed units have. For those who are silly and do the “I wash my dishes 99.99% before I load them into the DW” it won’t matter and you will never have to manually clean the food trap in the Bosh. This also helps with older homes or odd plumbing layouts where drainage is a concern. For most I’d recommend a higher end Korean or USA build that will actually wash dishes and chew up the gunk in there. Before a good DW, having good water treatment is more important if you want things to work… Also good Nylon coated racks are worth the investment from a cheap DW with PVC coated racks.

Sorry Paul, I had to add to the madness of this thread.

For a more on-topic thought. IMO this feels like a good way for Disney to spike up the resale market a bit. I don’t see how they can sustain 2022 ROFR activity with their current cash flow needs. If I’m wrong and this means they will put more “sold out” resorts on strong incentives I’m interested to see how this goes…
