Rode the Aquadunk on the Magic

OK, so I rode it, won't be doing that again!!! But at least I can say I did, didn't care for the drop part. I do all rides, but apparently I just prefer to be strapped in, or just don't like that free fall drop. Has anyone actually enjoyed it???:rotfl2:

I absolutely loved it! One of my favorite rides I've ever done :cool1:

I hate drops too and don't like ToT etc. I rode it, and hated the drop :rotfl2: I'm glad that I can say "been there, done that", but it's a one and done for me - I won't be doing it again! :scared: Wedgie and water up the nose for me. ::yes:: I loved AquaDUCK but the DUNK was definitely way more of a thrill ride. DH loved it and did it several times.

The drop can be avoided a bit if you stand on your tippy-toes against the backboard rather than standing flat footed when you get in. Just a hint I read on hear before we went the first time.

Someone let me know if the operators at the top are still laughing. In November, it was still "new" and they were laughing every time someone squealed.

How does his avoid the drop?

My DD12 and DD16 rode it last week and said it was fun but they were shaking at the end since it was so scary. They go on any ride.

I thought I was brave for riding the Aquaduck over and over with my dd (7).
The dunk looks terrifying. :sad1:

I can't wait to ride the dunk in July! I thought the duck was pretty lame. I rode it once and just didn't understand the hype. I thought it was too slow and really kinda boring. I'm glad the dunk is an actual thrill ride.

Thanks for the tip, but tippy toes or not - it's a drop I won't be experiencing again. :rotfl2: The CMs were definitely having a good time with it when we were onboard in February. She did the countdown 3 times for my DH before she finally pushed the button for the drop - he was egging her on though :stir:.

My hubby did the aqua dunk when we were on the magic 2 weeks ago and loved it ! My 8 year old son stood in line for up to it and chickened out lol

Hmm, maybe I should try the Duck again. Sounds like they slowed it down a LOT since I was on it.

I went on the AquaDuck last year on the Fantasy with DD...I thought it was very enjoyable!

I went on the AquaDunk last week on the Magic...The drop wasn't so bad, but I didn't really appreciate the "thrill" of the ride. It was dark and fast and it was over...and for sure, the wedgie was present at the end! The whole ride lasted less than 10 seconds, I think. Going over the edge of the ship meant nothing, since I couldn't see anything or know where I was. I was one and done. And I love roller coasters and water rides...

Our next cruise will be on the Wonder. I don't think we will miss the new rides.
