Rocket Rods?

What is it, or what was it? Is it anything like the Tomorrowland Transit Authority at WDW?

It was a fast coaster type ride that took over the TTA track. If you look around while on the monorail platform you can see the track is still there.

The attraction was only operational for a brief period of time and then was shut down for good. Too many problems with it from what I gather.

It's a shame that they shut that ride down. I'm just wondering if they are going to use that track at all for anything.

Alas, poor Rocketrods, we hardly knew thee. The Rocketrods took the place of the Peoplemovers after many years of R&D. The entrance to the ride is where Buzz Lightyear is now, and the actual loading dock is where the old Rocket orbiters were (now a weird spinny contraption) if I recall correctly. I heard from a CM that the Rocketrods was the fastest attraction at DL, unfortunately, it was prone to breaking down too. Wish the Peoplemover came back...I miss being shrunk down going through the microscope heh.
