I just found out that Rock The Universe is going to be at the parks on Sept 10 & 11th when we are going to be there. It requires a separate ticket to get into Universal after 4pm. I'm kinda bummed since I don't really have any desire to see the concert at all. So basically, we need to leave the park no later than 6pm if I don't buy event tickets. Does anyone know if it's just the one park or both of them? If it's just Universal, then we can go over to IAO once the concert starts. But, if it's both, should we buy tickets just so we can stay in the parks? I don't even know how much the tickets are because it's not up on the site yet. Does anyone have an idea how much the tickets are?

I'm not even sure what I want to do now. We'll be over at BC from the Sept. 4-9th then heading to Royal Pacific on the 9th-12th. I know that RTU will be in Disney too, but at least there are more parks to choose from if the concert is in say Hollywood Studios.

Anyone have any past experience with this? I haven't booked Royal yet, so I could just extend our stay at BC and just do a day trip over to see Harry Potter. That's doable too.

I'd appreciate any suggestions or help.
Thank you so much!!

Rock The Universe is at the Studios only so you could go to IOA for the remainder of the day.

Yikes, that's the same weekend we arrive so thanks for bringing this up. I'm a Christian gal but I'd rather have less crowds!! We planned on going to IOA on Saturday anyway, but now I'm wondering if that's what most other people will do as well. (Man, planning our itinterary is driving me CRAZY!!) Has anyone been to US or IOA on RTU day? Was it crazy busy?

The Studios will start to get busy in the afternoon as those folks start coming in for the concert. I don't remember IOA feeling much of the effects so you should be fine.

That's a relief. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do either. Almost tempted to extend our stay at BC and just cab over for a day during the week. Still not sure. :headache: Thanks for the update!

Whew, that's a relief, thanks, Metro! :) Now there's just the HP crowds to worry about. ;)
