Rock On!! Because Devil Horns Do Belong at Disney. An Oct TR Updated 9/5 x10!

I'm glad you had such a nice anniversary dinner at Hoop Dee Do! That show sounds like so much fun.

Sounds like an awesome morning in MK so far! And I'm glad your first face character meet was a success (besides the groping hahahahaha).

Loved the real-life update.

Wow - it is just amazing all the different sets that Lego has now. I am blown away! So cool that you could get Jim one that was so perfect for him.

Okay, the bear room is mind-blowing!!!! I have never seen so many bears in one place. AMAZING!!!

 I love the pics of Remy with the Pluto toy!!! Perfection!

Awww - all the dog pics are adorable, of course.

Happy belated to Jim! The bear room looks great!! :thumbsup2 And such cute pics of your pups :goodvibes

Thanks! I'm very happy with how the bear room turned out!

Happy Birthday to Jim; he looks mighty pleased with his gifts.

Love the Bear room pictures...awesome job. :thumbsup2

And the dogs are just too cute for words.

Jim was very pleased with his gifts!

Great life update!!

Oh, and we only did Tiki Rm on KTTK because the Jungle Cruise was down for refurb in Sept!!

That makes sense now. I had never heard anyone mention doing the Tiki Room on the KTTK before.

HB to Jim.

Great update on the Bear Room and the dog-antics.

So.....is there a Lego Room to rival the Bear Room??? popcorn::

No Lego room yet! Jim has really just gotten back into them, maybe it's a mid life crisis or something? :rotfl: I have a feeling our basement may become the Lego place.

Happy Birthday Jim!!!

:bday:

looks like he had a wonderful birthday! I know you'll post a picture of the finished product.. it looks tough!!!

I love your doggies!!! LOVE!!! Remy looks like he is fitting right in.. And i have to say he looks so healthy!!! you did a wonderful thing for him.

I will post pictures when it's done! Remy has become a member of the family, it's like he was always there!

The dinner at HDDR was very nice! We did have a great morning at MK!

I couldn't believe how much is out there with the Legos too! I found the boat by accident, I was really looking for a Container Port for him but they don't make that yet.

I definitely have a lot of bears, don't I? :rotfl2:

Sorry it's been so long between updates! I've just been swamped at work and have been concentrating more on the PTR. I'll have an update on that today too!

I’m going to start this update off by saying I really hate water rides. To me there is nothing worse than walking around a park with wet cloths unless it’s at least 100 degrees out. And if I go on a water ride or even one with the remote possibility of getting wet, I will end up soaked. Anyone ever done the Twister show at Universal? It’s basically a walk through were they demonstrate the power of a tornado. I’m not sure if you are supposed to get wet but I ended up soaked on that one. It just seems to happen every time to me.

That being said, I have quite the love/hate relationship with Splash Mountain. I love how well the ride is done, the theming is just out of this world. But I hate the fact that I end up wet when I ride it. I usually only ride it every couple of trips after I conveniently forget how wet I usually get. I hadn’t been on Splash since 2011 so it was time to ride again.

We used our FP+ and pretty much walked straight to the front so I only managed to snap two pictures along the way.

When we got to the front, I made sure we were in the back row so we were less likely to get soaking wet. I didn’t take pictures during the ride because I didn’t want to chance ruining my new camera.

Jim was hilarious the whole ride. He was determined to do something for the picture so every hill, he kept asking if this was where the camera was. He was as bad as a little kid asking “are we there yet?”.

So did we get wet? Of course! I was completely soaked from head to toe! For those of you who have ridden Splash, you will know there is one part where you go outside and right in front of the big hill. Our boat happened to pass that point just as another boat came down the hill. It couldn’t have been timed more perfectly and an absolute tidal wave went over our entire log. We had barely even started the ride and everyone in our log was drenched.

After all the bugging about where the camera was, I really expected Jim to do something epic for the ride photo. Well, he put his hands up, that’s it. I decided to take a quick nap.

I managed to time our ride on Splash pretty well and it was only 10 minutes till our next FP+ for BTMR. We messed around for a few minutes in the Splash dump shop then made our way over to BTMR.

As you can see, the wait time was only 20 minutes and we really didn’t need the FP+ but of course we used them and once again walked all the way to the front. For some reason, I never seem to take pictures of BTMR but we both enjoyed the ride. That coaster is much more Jim’s speed than say EE or SM.

BTMR was the last thing I expected to finish before we checked in for our lunch ADR. But it was only 11:15 am when we got off which meant we still had 1 ½ hours till our ADR. So we trekked on and went to visit my favorite bears. That would be the Country Bear Jamboree for those that don’t know they are my bears. Once again we timed it perfectly and walked into the lobby and straight into the theater. Let’s take a look at the show……

Yep, took way too many pictures as usual. Jim actually said he liked that show which made me happy.

We got out of there really quickly again so we took a quick look in the pin store that’s right next to the CBJ theater. They used to have a pin washboard but now they have a Duffy with a vest full of pins. We didn’t see any we wanted to trade for so we moved on to Liberty Square.

I checked my watch and decided we had just enough time to hit up Jim’s favorite MK attraction before lunch. What is this favorite attraction? Why, Hall of Presidents of course! Isn’t that everyone’s favorite? It’s funny because both Jim and my brother count that one as a favorite.

We headed into the lobby and there was about 15 minutes till the next show. I took a few pictures.

Then found a bench to plop on while Jim continued to walk around the room checking out all of the displays. He loves this attraction because he is a bit of a history buff. I felt a little bad sitting on one of the comfy benches because my butt was still pretty wet from Splash. Not guilty enough though to stand for those 15 minutes!

I have to admit I don’t mind the HOP. I really enjoy the film that they show at the beginning and the animatronics are pretty cool. I do tend to loss interest when they start introducing all of the Presidents. I usually spend that time trying to catch any movement from them. Some of them fidget a bit which I can totally relate too. I don’t have any pictures from the show for you as there is no photography of any kind allowed in the theater.

Jim wanted to look around the dump shop afterwards but I told him it would have to wait till after lunch because it was right at 10 minutes before our ADR time at Liberty Tree Tavern.

We checked in and then Jim got down to what he did best while waiting. Any time we had to wait a few minutes, out came the work phone to check that e-mail. Heaven forbid he didn’t answer them all within five minutes!

We were actually seated pretty quickly but it took a few minutes for our waiter to show up. He wasn’t the best when it came to service during the meal. He was a little slow and not very personable. It was also quite chilly in the restaurant although part of that might have been my wet cloths. Yep, I still hadn’t fully dried out from our ride on Splash almost two hours before this.

Jim decided to go with the Colony Salad which is a salad topped with apples, pecans, cheddar cheese and chicken.

I got the Fish and Chips which was the special of the day and not on the regular menu. Not sure what I had originally planned to order but when I saw an plate of the Fish and Chips go by our table, I decided that’s what I wanted.

Both of our meals were delicious. I think this was another meal where Jim wanted to lick his plate clean.

Jim decided to go healthy for his desert and got the No Sugar Added Sorbet with berries.

I got Martha Washington’s Cake:

Not sure what Jim thought of his sorbet but he ate it all. The cake was not my favorite dessert of the week, it was a little dry for my taste. That of course did not stop me from eating every bite, it was chocolate after all!

SO FUNNY! and your are correct Chocolate is chocolate!!!

your fish and chips do look delish!!! not a fan of the hall of presidents either.. Unless we want to take a brake in the cooler air.. Just adore the CBJ!!!! this is one of the not so many things i remember going there with my dad!!! again your camera did very well!!!

I'm sorry you got soaked on Splash, it definitely seems like you are a water magnet! Nice ride pic though!

Yay Country Bears, love all the pictures!

Your fish and chips look really delicious!

Awesome updates!!

Arg, I had so much more to say, but I read it before working lunch and now it's 3 hours later and I have no memeories! lol

Mark is with you...hates getting wet and why I can only get him on Splash every couple of years.

Great pictures at the Country Bear Jamboree; no surp;rise there with you taking lots of photos.

Funny that Jim's favorite is Hall of Presidents. Mark always wants to do it and I let him so that I can take a nap...much like I do in the Carrousel of Progress.

Lunch looks very yummy and I could go for that chocolate caek right about now.

Talk about a successful morning! It's always fun to realize you have more time than you thought! Splash.

I enjoy Hall of Presidents too, but it definitely is one of those things you have to go several trips in a row without doing, in my opinion. Unless it's one of your favorites, of course!

Lunch looks so yummy! I don't know what it is about fish and chips that looks so yummy, because I can't stand fish, but I always think it looks delicious! Who knows.

On a hot day, there is nothing more that my DS likes than getting wet. Actually, on a hot day, I don't mind getting wet either. Clothes are optional....;)

(Bathing suit is my mandatory minimum!!! :lmao:)

I'm sorry you got soaked. That seems to happen to me on almost all water rides I go on. Water seems to love me for some reason.

Looks like you had a great time after Splash and I loved the pictures of the LTT food. That fish and chips looks delish.

Yep, I'll eat almost anything chocolate as long as it doesn't have nuts.

The Fish & Chips was very good!

I can't get on a water ride without getting soaked! The fish and chips was really good.

:rotfl: I do that all the time and I usually don't even take a break inbetween reading and commenting!

Mark is with you...hates getting wet and why I can only get him on Splash every couple of years.

I probably won't ride Splash again for a while! Definitely not next week since it's closed.

Great pictures at the Country Bear Jamboree; no surp;rise there with you taking lots of photos.

Yeah, I did go way overboard with the pictures this trip but I was really enjoying the new camera.

Funny that Jim's favorite is Hall of Presidents. Mark always wants to do it and I let him so that I can take a nap...much like I do in the Carrousel of Progress.

I think HOP was the only thing he was actually excited for beforehand. There was one thing we did on Thurday at Epcot that he still hasn't stopped talking about but I'll leave that one for a later update.

Lunch looks very yummy and I could go for that chocolate caek right about now.

Me too but I can always go for chocolate cake!

Talk about a successful morning! It's always fun to realize you have more time than you thought! Splash.

I know! I hope we have extra time like that on my trip next week.

I enjoy Hall of Presidents too, but it definitely is one of those things you have to go several trips in a row without doing, in my opinion. Unless it's one of your favorites, of course!

I'm going to be stuck doing it again this next trip because it's my brother's favorite too.

Lunch looks so yummy! I don't know what it is about fish and chips that looks so yummy, because I can't stand fish, but I always think it looks delicious! Who knows.

You know, I used to not like fish either. But a few years ago I gave it another try and now I love it! I guess it is true that your taste buds change a little as you get older.

On a hot day, there is nothing more that my DS likes than getting wet. Actually, on a hot day, I don't mind getting wet either. Clothes are optional....;)

Water rides always get me and I don't mind if it's really, really hot. Thing is, I rarely go to Disney when it's really hot. The October week was in the mid to upper 80s and it was almost too much for me. I can't imagine going in mid summer.

We stopped really quickly after lunch in the HOP dump shop. Jim was hoping to find something Americana to bring home but the store was mostly Halloween decorations. He was eyeing up a few of the history books they had in there but I told him to write down the names and get them off of Amazon when we got home. Much cheaper that way. I guess he wasn’t really that interested because he didn’t write anything down and we left pretty quickly. We also did a quick walk through the Christmas store but there wasn’t anything in there I hadn’t seen at the DHS Christmas store.

Next we needed a bathroom break so of course I made a beeline for the new Tangled bathrooms! I missed the opening by two days when I was there in March.

I was excited to look around and figured I would have some time since Jim was usually slow in the bathroom. Unfortunately this was one of the times he was not slow and he came out at almost the same time I did.

We did walk around a bit but the area was pretty crowded and Jim just didn’t understand why I was so fascinated with the bathrooms. So I took a few pictures and we moved on.

Hey look, I did take a picture of BTMR! Just not while we were riding it.

We headed back down the hill to catch the one ride we missed in Liberty Square.

As you can see, the crowds had finally arrived. While the sign said 25 minutes we were on in less than 20. I amused myself by taking pictures.

Once again I was anxious to try out the new camera on the ride and I did get some half descent results.

Afterwards, I had to stop to pay my respects to Mr. Toad.

We headed back into Fantasyland and got in line for a special boat ride.

The crowds had definitely arrived, the wait time was 25 minutes and we actually had to weave through lines outside of the building. Jim snagged a red card though and thought it was one of the coolest things ever.

You can see the boarded up Peter Pan ride in the background of that one.

I apologize in advance to the ones that don’t like Small World. Maybe you can scroll quickly through the 2000 or so pictures I took so you don’t have nightmares.

I’m pretty sure Jim was relieved when that ride was over.

As I am sitting here freezing in my office once again I cannot help but say...I wanna be at Disney!!!!!

Okay, now that I have my whining out of the way....

I wanna be at Disney!!!!

Oh wait, I was supposed to be done with that. :rolleyes2

We didn't get to explore Fantasyland as much as I would have liked. I didn't get to see the Tangled restrooms at all. :sad1: Love all the little details I have seen in everyone's pictures. LOVE the skillet "sconces". :thumbsup2

I wanna be at Disney!!!

Oops, sorry.

Your camera did really well in HM! While we did get to do a lot while we were there for just a few hours, seeing all these photos reminds me of how much we DIDN'T get to do. :sad1:

I wanna be at Disney!!!

Okay, I will stop now, for real.... Really I will....

I love IASW...it is definitely tops on my list, right up there with JC and Peoplemover.

And to close....

WHY CAN'T I BE AT DISNEY RIGHT NOW?????

No you don't want to be at Disney It's rainy cold plain old crappy...feel better now ? :rotfl2: Been like this for 2 days ..come when it's nicer

Yes, I do feel better actually... I think I will tell myself every day, "It's probably cold and rainy at Disney right now". Now if I can just stay off those cruise threads with all the gorgeous beach and sunset photos....

Love the new Tangled bathroom area...it's just awesome.

You did great with the pictures in the Haunted Mansion. It's rare you get a clear picture in there no matter the type of camera you have.

I love that Jim was excited over getting the "red" card. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay, I didn't rapidly scroll through the Slow Boat to China pictures, but I didn't dawdle either. I'm with Jim...always glad to be off that ride. ;)

Great update.

Looks like you had fun with IaSW and the red card. I always love being picked for the red card as well. Makes me feel like I'm part of the establishment. :rotfl:
