Anyone have an update on the rehab?
I'm dying to know what changes have been made.

Do they make changes to the rides when they "close for refurbishment"? I just figured they would just be doing maintenance.

Its just rehab. I have a very close friend whose brother is the lead engineer at MGM. We rode TOT with him 3 weeks ago. I asked about R & R and he said it was just to rehab and clean it up.

The only update I can provide is that the crowds were crazy yesterday 10/6. Stand by was 60-80 minutes at mid day and fast pass return times were 4 hours. The FP return line was out past the entrance to the ride. We had to leave to catch a plane so didn't make it on even with FP.

Just got back on 10/5. My kids were 3rd and 4th in line for the opening of the RnR. They rode it 4 times and I rode it 3 times (I wasn't about to RUN to the opening hahahaha) I really didn't notice anything different at all about this ride since last year, however I only rode it once then. Preshow in the recording studio was the same.

The only change I notice on 5 Oct was that there is now a single rider line - pretty sure it wasn't there before.

This line was quick the first time I was on it - but the second time was quite a long wait because the young CM didn't seem to be feeding the single riders through quickly enough. There is now a small corner of the 'studio' separated off for single riders.

It had a single rider line prior to this rehab. I think it was added during the previous rehab in 2006.

So it's open? Darn.
We were there at WDW on 10/5! I called Disney info from our in room phone and asked if RNRC was open that day and they told me NO. We had already done MGM and were only going to pop over there for that one ride IF it was open as it was our last day at WDW. I'm so mad! I really wanted to ride it this trip!!!!!

When we entered the park on Oct 4th we were told it was closed. We walked past the ride in the afternoon and we rode it twice. You never know!

We rode it friday morning right at opening and someone thought it be fun to pour tons of water from the sky!
it rained pretty hard that short bit.

The only change was to the que line. There is now a stand-by line, a single rider and the fast pass line. Also the single rider line and fst pass line enter thru a seperate set of doors than the stand-by line. Remember when the fast pass line would merge with the stand-by line outside that doesn't happen now until you begin to enter the pre-show area. That's all I noticed. We rose it 4 times on 10/5.

This change happened at a previous rehab. When I was there in 5/07, this was the queue setup.
